  • Patent number: 6676048
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector having an orifice region in which an orifice passage extends along an injector axis and ends at an orifice edge. The fuel injector is characterized in that the orifice edge is rotationally asymmetrical about the injector axis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 5, 2001
Date of Patent: January 13, 2004
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Carsten Tiemann
  • Patent number: 6568190
Abstract: In a combustion chamber arrangement, especially an annular combustion chamber arrangement for a gas turbine, one or more burners has, at its mouth, a deflecting device by which a combustion chamber arrangement is deflected. This achieves the effect of acoustic detuning, whereby the formation of a combustion oscillation is suppressed.

Date of Patent: May 27, 2003
    Assignee: SieMens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Carsten Tiemann
  • Patent number: 6536204
Abstract: A burner configuration includes a combustion chamber. A multiplicity of burners are disposed in the combustion chamber. Each of the burners has an outlet opening into the combustion chamber. Flow-guidance elements each at least partly form a respective one of the outlets of at least some of the burners. The flow-guidance elements project into the combustion chamber for guiding a fuel-gas flow discharging from the burners into the combustion chamber. As a result, combustion oscillations are suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20010018173
Abstract: The process relates to the operation of a hybrid burner. The hybrid burner has a premix burner and a pilot burner. The premix burner includes a premix air supply duct, into which a premix fuel supply duct opens. The pilot burner includes an air supply duct and a fuel supply duct for liquid and/or gaseous fuel. When the hybrid burner is in operation, air is supplied through the air supply duct and through the premix air supply duct, oil is supplied through the fuel supply duct and water is supplied through the premix fuel supply duct.
