  • Patent number: 6595840
Abstract: The invention relates to a holding device for holding a tool, especially an abrasive cutting-off machine, on a guide device, especially on a guiding carriage. The invention may be characterized by holding device which comprises at least one overlapping element via a receptacle, which overlapping element cooperates with at least one holding element on a tool in such a manner that the tool can be suspended by the holding element or elements on the overlapping elements or elements and be transferred by rotation about an axis about a position of use into a held position.

  • Patent number: 6493948
Abstract: In order to design a motor chain saw with a chain brake device releasable as a back kick brake and as a coasting brake comprising a tension lever (2), movable with respect to the housing of the motor chain saw, which can be moved between a brake position (B) and a ready position (b), a release lever (19) which can take up a coasting brake position (A) and a disengaging position (f), in combination with a supplementary brake device known as a coasting brake, it is proposed that the tension lever (2) is placed linearly slidingly movable with respect to the housing of the motor chain saw and that the release lever (1) is placed slidingly movable with respect to the tension lever (2), whereby both axles of the sliding movement are parallel to each other.

  • Publication number: 20020121411
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for braking a motor shaft, such as a motor shaft of a chain saw, with a brake band that at least partially surrounds an area of the shaft and with at least one guide component that cooperates with the brake band and holds it in its axial position. The brake band comprises at least one projection formed in one piece with the brake band.

  • Patent number: 6427641
Abstract: In an engine driven hand-operated tool such as a chain saw, hedge trimmer, drill hammer and the like, cooling fluid for the engine downstream of the engine, so as to have been heated by the engine, is moved through a hollow handle of the tool to heat the handle.

  • Patent number: 5397054
Abstract: A pressure jet cleaning appliance having a pressure pump (10) driven by a drive (11). The appliance includes a conduit having a primary line (14) for directing fluid into a spray gun (15) and a bypass line (19) for recycling fluid through the conduit when the spray gun is turned off. A control valve (18) has a reciprocal piston (28) responsive to fluid pressure within the primary line such that the piston moves into a closed position thereby directing fluid through the bypass line when the spray gun is turned off. The piston is directly connected to a control element (22) in the drive such that movement of the piston is translated into displacement of the control element. With this configuration, the piston actuates the control element to reduce the speed of the drive when the piston is in the closed position and to increase the speed of the drive when the piston is in the open position.
