  • Publication number: 20180315002
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for provision of coordinated-delivery offers (“CDOs”) using a coordinated delivery determination system (“CDDS”). The CDDS may be configured to receive an indication of multiple items which are to be shipped to a destination. The CDDS may provision an offer for coordinated delivery of these items to the destination within a pre-determined window of time. The CDDS may be configured to determine feasibility of a CDO. The CDDS may be configured to determine whether the delivery promise date is feasible based on a delivery threshold. The CDDS may also be configured to determine whether the CDO is feasible based on a pre-determined cost.

  • Patent number: 9818235
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods for automatically verifying stored item dimension values and package utilization at packing. In some implementations, an image(s) of a package that includes items of a shipment set is captured at a pack station and analyzed to determine an actual package utilization. The actual package utilization is compared to an expected package utilization. If a difference between the expected package utilization and the actual package utilization is identified, it may be determined that the stored item dimension values may be inaccurate.

  • Patent number: 9202246
Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and method for providing substitute item recommendations in order status messages are described. In various embodiments, a customer may submit an order for one or more items to a merchant. In various cases, the merchant may fulfill the order by preparing a shipment that includes the one or more ordered items and shipping that shipment to the customer. In some cases, at least one item of the order may be delayed or canceled for a variety of reasons. In various embodiments, the merchant may utilize an exception management component to generate an orders status message (for the customer) that specifies the item has been delayed or canceled. The merchant may also utilize the exception management component to generate the order status message such that the order status message also includes a recommendation of one or more substitute items that the customer may be interested in.
