Patent number: 11913492Abstract: A uni-directional and multi-directional mechanical bearing suitable for supporting structures such as bridges comprises a removable cassette comprising a sliding layer composed of a low friction material such as PTFE. The removable cassette allows for the replacement of the sliding layer without needing to remove or replace the entire bearing. The bearing can be part of a kit that includes a replacement cassette having a varying thickness that corresponds to the uneven wear on the sliding layer of the removable cassette and compensates for an eccentric pressure on the bearing when under load.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: MARCONMETALFAB INC.Inventors: Eric de Fleuriot de la Coliniere, Casey Xi Wang, Duncan Robert Bohlmann

Publication number: 20210345519Abstract: Techniques for reconfigurable heat sinks are disclosed. In one embodiment, a compute system includes a heat sink includes a core fin assembly with two removable lateral fin assemblies. The lateral fin assemblies may be above one or more components of the compute system, such as one or more memory modules. With the lateral fin assemblies in place, the cooling capacity of the heat sink is increased, but the more memory modules may be difficult or impossible to service. With the lateral fin assemblies removed, the memory modules can be serviced (e.g., replaced). In another embodiment, a lateral fin assembly of a heat sink is attached to a heat pipe. The lateral fin assembly can rotate relative to the heat pipe, allowing the lateral fin assembly to fit within a 2U form factor in one configuration and allow access to components under the lateral fin assembly in another configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2021Publication date: November 4, 2021Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Wenbin Tian, Yingqiong Bu, Yanbing Sun, Yang Yao, Yuehong Fan, Ming Zhang, Casey Robert Winkel, Jin Yang, David Shia, Mohanraj Prabhugoud

Publication number: 20210185850Abstract: Two liquid cooling mechanisms are provided for cooling integrated circuit components immersed in an open bath immersion tank. In the first mechanism, heat generated by high-thermal design power (TDP) components is absorbed by a working fluid passing through cold plates coupled to the high-TDP components. The cold plates are part of direct liquid cooling loops attached to supply and return manifolds fluidly connected to a cooling distribution unit. In the second mechanism, integrated circuit components not coupled to any of the direct liquid cooling loops dissipate heat directly to the immersion fluid. In some embodiments, the tank is a closed bath immersion tank and heat captured by the working fluid is reclaimed and converted to electricity. Working fluid flow rate can be adjusted based on integrated circuit component power consumption levels to achieve a desired working fluid temperature as it enters an energy reclamation unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2021Publication date: June 17, 2021Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Devdatta Prakash Kulkarni, Nishi Ahuja, Sandeep Ahuja, Timothy M. Patent number: 10740789Abstract: An advertising system provides advertisements to client devices. To select advertisements, the advertising system identifies previously selected advertisements to determine which presentations of the advertisement are still in-flight and have not yet resulted in conversion event. The advertising system predicts total advertising spend based on the in-flight advertisements, and adjusts a paced bid for the advertisement by determining whether the estimated total advertising spend, reflecting predicted in-flight advertisements, is above or below an expected spending to reach a budget for the advertising campaign, which may increase or decrease the paced bid.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2015Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: David Paul Capel, Harsh Doshi, Benjamin Casey Roberts

Publication number: 20200112625Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for distributing linear and interactive virtual reality (“VR”) video content. The VR content may be distributed by streaming over varying consumer network connections such as Wi-Fi, LTE Wireless Radio, or wired network connections. Bandwidth and latency may vary from network-user to network-user and may also vary widely during the playback of the VR content as other network users vary their bandwidth usage. Apparatus and methods are provided for ingesting, managing, composing, tracking, and experiencing VR content. Apparatus and methods are provided for reducing bandwidth and computational overhead associated with streaming VR content to a viewing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2019Publication date: April 9, 2020Inventors: Casey Robert Hancock, Michael Phan, Jacob Russel Adelgren, Nicholas Paul Sahler

Patent number: 10448625Abstract: A nontoxic liquid dye formulation for color staining the skin of live angling bait species comprises a dye substance suitable for application, and thereby for imparting color, to skin of angling bait species. The dye substance has a pH of between about 5.8 and about 8.2 and has a dye molecular structure carrying a net charge of no more than two negative charges or a net charge of no more than one positive charge. A dye carrier for the dye substance includes a water-soluble polyether compound mixed in an aqueous solution. The polyether compound has a weight average molecular weight of between about 2,000 and about 6,000 to function as a phase transfer agent that promotes partitioning of components of the dye substance into the skin of the bait species. The water soluble dye remains in the skin of the bait species, even though it is in an oily environment.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2018Date of Patent: October 22, 2019Assignee: Pautzke Bait Co., Inc.Inventors: Casey Robert Kelley, Dion Arledge Rivera
