  • Publication number: 20230185993
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides solutions for improving simulation environments. In some aspects, a processor may be configured to select one or more location properties associated with a simulated road environment for testing an action of an autonomous vehicle. In some cases, the processor may identify a plurality of geographic locations having the one or more location properties associated with the simulated road environment. In some examples, the processor may generate the simulated road environment using map data associated with a first geographic location selected from the plurality of geographic locations. In some aspects, the processor may test the action of the autonomous vehicle using the simulated road environment.

  • Publication number: 20230185992
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides solutions for managing states of a simulated environment. In some aspects, a processor may be configured to provide a simulation environment for an autonomous vehicle (AV), wherein the simulation environment is associated with a plurality of simulation parameters each having a corresponding value dependent upon a state of the simulation environment. In some cases, the processor may determine at least one function for assessing a value of each of the plurality of simulation parameters at any time within a simulation time period. In some examples, the processor may receive a first query for a first value of at least one simulation parameter from the plurality of simulation parameters at a first time within the simulation time period. In some cases, the processor may return the first value of the at least one simulation parameter at the first time based on the at least one function.

  • Publication number: 20220340153
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides solutions for generating simulated scenes to facilitate autonomous vehicle (AV) testing. In some implementations, the disclosed technology encompasses methods for generating simulated scenes that can includes steps for receiving road data, wherein the road data comprises sensor data collected for a recorded scene measured using one or more vehicle-mounted sensors, processing the road data to generate semantic scene data, and generating a simulated scene based on the semantic scene data. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220332336
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides techniques for using simulated scenarios to perform autonomous vehicle (AV) testing. In some implementations, the disclosed technology encompasses a process for receiving a simulated scene based on semantic scene data, modifying the simulated scene to generate a permuted scene, and generating synthetic road data corresponding with the permuted scene. In some approaches, the process can further include operations for providing the synthetic road data to an AV stack. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220198180
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides solutions for automating the interpretation of traffic hand signals, for example, in an autonomous vehicle (AV) deployment. A process of the disclosed technology can include steps for aggregating a plurality of three-dimensional (3D) gesture sequences, processing each of the gesture sequences to generate two-dimensional gesture data, and training a machine-learning (ML) model using at least a portion of the plurality of two-dimensional gesture images for each of the 3D gesture sequences to generate a trained ML model. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060252538
Abstract: An interactive game programmed according to game rules including at least some game rules for mapping analog input movement to character actions for a character controlled by a player, the interactive game including program code to effect game state changes corresponding to moves made by a character controlled by the user, database or tables of operations wherein an operation represents a series of actions taken by a character in response to a particular user input using the analog input control, program code for processing the particular user input from the analog input control including representing input movement as a sequence of one or more sector visits, comparing the particular sector visit sequence with the database of operations to find matching character actions for the particular sector visit sequence or defined variation thereof, program code for effecting, where a match or defined variation thereof is found in the database of operations, the operations in sequence according to an associated series
