Publication number: 20230092927Abstract: A method of generating a calibration factor is described. In an example, the method may include establishing a wireless communication connection with a fitness machine. The method may also include obtaining first machine data from the fitness machine. The first machine data may specify a type of the fitness machine. The method may also include initiating a workout session on the wearable computer based on the first machine data. During the workout session, the method may also include obtaining sensor data, obtaining second machine data, and determining the calibration factor based on the second machine data and the sensor data. The method may also include generating a workout session summary based on the calibration factor.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventors: Jay Blahnik, Meghna Lav, Aidan O`Loan, Jorge Morinigo, Gordon Scott, Siji Rachel Tom, Kevin Sheridan, Craig Dooley, Chen Ganir, Catherine B. Patent number: 11605274Abstract: Techniques are provided for contacting emergency response services when certain conditions are met. In some instances, it may be determined, by a wearable device, whether a user has responded to a first user interface prompt displayed in response to detection of a physical event associated with the user. In accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to the first user interface prompt after expiration of a first time period, certain actions may be performed. For example, a countdown timer may begin to run for a second timer period. During the second period, an audio alert and a haptic alert may be output by the wearable device. In accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to a second user interface prompt prior to expiration of the second time period, a communication channel request may be transmitted to an emergency response service by the wearable device.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2020Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Albert Riley Howard, Catherine B. Patent number: 11460925Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to providing time feedback on an electronic device, and in particular to providing non-visual time feedback on the electronic device. Techniques for providing non-visual time feedback include detecting an input and, in response to detecting the input, initiating output of a first type of non-visual indication of a current time or a second type of non-visual indication of the current time based on the set of non-visual time output criteria met by the input. Techniques for providing non-visual time feedback also include, in response to detecting that a current time has reached a first predetermined time of a set of one or more predetermined times, outputting a first non-visual alert or a second non-visual alert based on a type of watch face that the electronic device is configured to display.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2021Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Christopher B.
