  • Patent number: 6291744
Abstract: This invention relates to compositions and methods useful in the production of transgenic plants. In particular, the invention relates to nucleic acids that hybridizes under stringent conditions to a nucleic acid encoding a plant Gp2 protein that has the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:2. The invention also relates to the above-described nucleic acid operably linked to a heterologous or Gp2 plant promoter. In addition, the invention relates to transgenic plants containing the above-described nucleic acids.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 1998
Date of Patent: September 18, 2001
    Assignee: DNA Plant Technology Corporation
Inventors: Catherine S. Baden, Pamela Dunsmuir, Kathleen Y. Lee
  • Patent number: 5981727
Abstract: This invention relates to compositions and methods useful in the production of transgenic plants. In particular, the invention relates to Group 2 (Gp2) plant promoter sequences and to expression cassettes containing Gp2 plant promoter sequences. The invention also relates to vectors and transgenic plants containing Gp2 plant promoter sequences that are operably linked to heterologous DNA sequences. In addition, the invention relates to methods of producing transgenic plants by using vectors containing Gp2 promoter sequences.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 6, 1996
Date of Patent: November 9, 1999
    Assignee: DNA Plant Technology Corporation
