Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of an active substance that promotes the inhibition of the formation of AGEs, for preparing a composition to prevent and/or combat the reduction in elastic and plastic properties of tissues, and in particular of the skin, for inhibiting the formation of AGEs, or for preventing and/or combating glycation of proteins in the skin. The invention also relates to a method of screening such active substances.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use, as an active ingredient, of at least one substance that promotes the deglycation of AGEs for preparing a composition, especially for limiting the presence of AGEs in a tissue.
