    Abstract: A weaning member for a nursing bottle for insertion on the top of the nursing bottle adjacent a closing cap so that a weaning spout of the weaning member extends from the closing cap. The weaning cap can thus replace a conventional nipple closure for the container. A fluid control member is also provided to control the rate of fluid flow through the weaning spout. The face of the weaning spout can be formed to resemble the face of an animal.
