  • Publication number: 20230026706
Abstract: An approach for enhancing a video stream. The approach processes a video stream and identifies frames comprising text. The approach marks text extraction locations and extracts the text from the frames. The approach determines if a mirroring effect should be applied to the text and applies if applicable, creating enhanced text. The approach inserts the enhanced text and smooths the edges of the inserted enhanced text. The approach merges the frames with the enhanced text into the video stream, creating an enhanced video stream and sends the enhanced video stream to requesting users.

  • Publication number: 20220404795
Abstract: In an approach for early notification of degradation of 3D printed parts, a processor completes an initial scan of a 3D printed part using backscatter techniques when the 3D printed part is installed and idle in the unit. A processor completes a second scan of the 3D printed part using backscatter techniques when the unit is in operation. A processor determines a baseline delta between the initial scan and the second scan. A processor performs an additional scan after a preset time interval of the 3D printed part using backscatter techniques in operation within the unit. A processor determines whether the additional scan is within the baseline delta.

Abstract: A method can include identifying an audio output device having a first audio status. In the first audio status, the audio output device can be configured to receive first audio data of at least one software application of a set of software applications of a computing device. In the first audio status, the audio output device can be configured to emit, based on the first audio data, first audio content corresponding to the at least one software application. The method can include identifying a priority software application of the computing device. The method can include assigning, in response to the identifying the priority software application, a second audio status to the audio output device. The assigning can include preventing the audio output device from emitting the first audio content. • Patent number: 11531849
Abstract: A method, apparatus, computer system, and computer program product for managing a device. The method detects, by a computer system, a physical handling of the device to form a physical handling pattern for the device. The method determines, by the computer system, a baseline physical handling pattern for the device, wherein the baseline physical handling pattern for the device meets a set of handling metrics for the device. The method initiates, by the computer system, a set of actions in response to the physical handling pattern for the device deviating from the baseline physical handling pattern for the device.

  • Publication number: 20220398173
Abstract: Distributed application orchestration management is provided. A first passive member of a set of passive members sends a notification message to other members indicating that the first passive member is initiating start of a distributed application in response to the first passive member validating that a self-restart by a leader member failed. The first passive member compares timestamps associated with an attempt to start the distributed application by other passive members in the set of passive members. The first passive member stops a particular attempt to start the distributed application in response to the first passive member determining that a timestamp associated with the particular attempt to start the distributed application by the first passive member is newer than another timestamp of another passive member. The first passive member designates the other passive member having an older timestamp as a new leader member to continue starting the distributed application.

  • Publication number: 20220398309
Abstract: In an approach for multifactor authorization on hardware calls of resources, a processor receives a request for a hardware resource from a plurality of hardware resources being monitored. A processor calculates a risk level associated with the hardware resource of the request based on a respective risk level data repository. A processor, in response to a determination the risk level requires multifactor authorization, determines that a user associated with the request is logged in. A processor identifies a mechanism used by the user to log in. A processor determines whether a challenge associated with the multifactor authorization based on the mechanism is successful. A processor, in response to a determination the challenge associated with the multifactor authorization is successful, enables access to the hardware resource of the request.

  • Patent number: 11528280
Abstract: A method for preventing unauthorized access of privileged operations of a first device. The method provides for one or more processors to detect an initiating action of a privileged operation of a first device. The one or more processors receive a current location of the first device. The one or more processors determine whether a pre-determined location matches the current location of the first device. In response to determining the current location of the first device fails to match the predetermined location, the one or more processors determine whether a pre-determined connection condition exists between the first device and an authorized device, and in response to determining an absence of the pre-determined connection condition between the first device and the authorized device, the one or more processors perform a first action disabling the privileged operation of the first device.

  • Publication number: 20220358494
Abstract: In an approach for enabling communication between offline devices to perform secure transaction, a processor sends information in an optically recognizable first code including a response type, an identity of the first device and a type of optical reader associated with the first device. A processor receives encoded information in an optically recognizable second code. A processor extracts a user identifier and the one-time password associated with the registered second device. A processor determines that a user certificate associated with the user identifier exists in a local repository. A processor validates the one-time password associated with the registered second device with the user certificate using a public certificate associated with the first device, the one-time password associated with the registered second device and the one-time password seed. A processor authenticates the user.

  • Patent number: 11457032
Abstract: In an approach, a processor receives from a network device a request. A processor obtains from a database a device profile for the network device. A processor determines whether the device profile of the network device has a data usage pattern related to data identified by a data identifier. In response to determining the device profile has a related data usage pattern, a processor receives the related data usage pattern from the database. In response to determining the device profile does not have a related data usage pattern, a processor obtains a device type profile from the database. A processor classifies the data usage request based on at least one of the device profile and the device type profile. A processor executes a security action based on the classification of the data usage request. A processor stores the data usage request and executed security action to the database.
