Abstract: A boot comprising a supple upper (1) in the form of a bootie, a brace (2) in the form of a cradle having a triangular structure (14) in the malleolar region, such that a rear bearing surface (8) and a front bearing surface (10) are formed to receive the binding elements. The brace has a partially perforated sole and perforated lateral parts. It is immovably fixed to the supple upper by a plastic material (20) injected around the brace and traversing the perforated portions mentioned above. Such a boot combines comfort and lightness with good control of the foot and a secure fixing of the boot in the ski binding.

Abstract: A shoe for use in snowboarding includes an upper section having a bottom and opposed sides which enclose a wearer's foot and lower leg, and a sole that is secured to the bottom of the upper section. The upper section is made from a thermoformed plastic material which is more flexible than the material forming the sole. The sole includes a plurality of pairs of lateral extensions extending upwardly along each of the opposed sides for engaging with corresponding hollowed sections provided in the upper section of the shoe to allow securement thereof. Preferably, the lateral extensions further include hooks or the like at their ends for allowing the passage of laces or straps to tighten the shoe to the lower leg and foot of the wearer.

Abstract: Ski boot having a lower part (1) and a shaft (4, 12) articulated on the lower part and including, at the rear, a movable stop (15) mounted on one of the parts of the boot and interacting with a fixed stop (20) mounted on the other part of the boot to hold the shaft in downhill position, inclined towards the front. The movable stop (20) is equipped with an arm (22) passing through the shaft of the boot on its external side so as to be capable of being actuated by a pole.
