  • Publication number: 20240164817
Abstract: Implants, systems, and methods of reverse dynamization. The implants, such as expandable spinal implants, bone plates, and intramedullary nails, are securable to bone. The implant may have a moveable component creating a semi-rigid configuration to allow for micro-motion of the bone for a period of time. The moveable component is changeable, for example, based on material properties, change of state, or mechanical or electrical operation, to a static condition creating a rigid configuration to prevent subsequent movement of the bone. The reverse dynamization implants may be used to accelerate bone healing and obtain superior bone fracture healing.

  • Patent number: 11969269
Abstract: A multi-parameter patient monitoring device rack can dock a plurality of patient monitor modules and can communicate with a separate display unit. A signal processing unit can be incorporated into the device rack. A graphics processing unit can be attached to the display unit. The device rack and the graphic display unit can have improved heat dissipation and drip-proof features. The multi-parameter patient monitoring device rack can provide interchangeability and versatility to a multi-parameter patient monitoring system by allowing use of different display units and monitoring of different combinations of parameters. A dual-use patient monitor module can have its own display unit configured for displaying one or more parameters when used as a stand-alone device, and can be docked into the device rack when a handle on the module is folded down.

  • Publication number: 20240099582
Abstract: A patient monitoring device can be configured to provide fast and reliable physiological measurements in a variety of care settings including at a patient's home. The device can include a compact, standalone monitor with telehealth capabilities as well as an intuitive interface for use at home. The device can include a blood pressure, capnography, or pulse oximetry module. A device can include a sleek and continuous outer surface that is easy to clean and generally free of crevices, holes, or surfaces that collect external contaminants. For example, portions of the housing can connect together using a limited number of screws, thereby limiting a number of holes. The device can include a vent cover that can be rotated to reconfigure the function of the vent cover. For example, the vent cover can function as a stabilization feature and/or a cover for a ventilation hole, while permitting exhaust through the ventilation hole.

  • Patent number: 11509942
Abstract: A server, system, and method generate a live video feed. The method is performed at a server connected to a computer network. The method includes receiving an indication of a predetermined type of action during a live event. The method includes generating a first video feed associated with the predetermined type of action, the first video feed being distinct from a broadcast feed of the live event. The method includes identifying a user device that is to receive the first video feed based on predetermined rules. The method includes determining whether the user device is prepared to receive the first video feed. When the user device is prepared, the method includes transmitting the first video feed to the user device for an automatically playback on the user device to display a video of the predetermined type of action currently occurring during the live event.

  • Patent number: 11297458
Abstract: Systems and method are provided for adaptive dashboards, wayfinding, and other services at an event venue. The systems and methods involve transmitting beacon messages using short-range wireless communications from a plurality of beacon devices provided at the event venue, wherein each beacon message comprises location identification information. The systems and method further involve processing using a module on a mobile electronic device beacon messages received by the mobile electronic device by comparing beacon identification information included as part of the beacon messages to beacon information stored on the mobile electronic device. The system and methods further involve displaying an adaptive dashboard, wayfinding information, or other event venue information to a user of the mobile electronic device based on the processing of beacon messages received by the mobile electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20070125550
Abstract: A downhole assembly comprises a whipstock and an expandable anchoring tool connected to the whipstock, wherein the tool comprises a body including a plurality of angled channels formed into a wall thereof and a plurality of moveable slips, wherein the slips translate along the angled channels between a collapsed position and an expanded position. A method for performing a thru tubing operation in a well bore comprises running a downhole assembly comprising a whipstock and an expandable anchoring tool in a collapsed position through a first diameter section of the well bore, orienting the whipstock, and translating a plurality of pairs of slips of the expandable anchoring tool to an expanded position into gripping engagement with a casing lining a second diameter section of the well bore that is larger than the first diameter section, wherein the pairs of slips are axially spaced apart along the expandable anchoring tool.

  • Patent number: 6502452
Abstract: A tube testing system consists of two subassemblies, the probe and the applicator. The probe uses a stack of Belleville style washers that when compressed allow the locking fingers to relax and the probe to be inserted into the tube. Once the probe is placed in the correct location using the applicator, the Belleville style washers are allowed to expand, locking in the fingers and engaging the urethane seals. As the water fills the tube, the air is pushed through a bleed hole in the mandrel of the probe. The bleed hole leads to a chamber in the top of the probe that contains a plastic ball. The ball floats on water and as the chamber fills, the ball seals off the leak path and the tube can then be pressurized and the test performed. Once the test is complete, the water is drained and using the applicator, the probe is removed from the tube.
