Patent number: 11977956Abstract: In a general aspect, calibration is performed in a quantum computing system. In some cases, domains of a quantum computing system are identified, where the domains include respective domain control subsystems and respective subsets of quantum circuit devices in a quantum processor of the quantum computing system. Sets of measurements are obtained from one of the domains and stored in memory. Device characteristics of the quantum circuit devices of the domain are obtained based on the set of measurements, and the device characteristics are stored in a memory of the control system. Quantum logic control parameters for the subset of quantum circuit devices of the domain are obtained based on the set of measurements and stored in memory.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2023Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Rigetti & Co, LLCInventors: Benjamin Jacob Bloom, Shane Arthur Caldwell, Michael James Curtis, Matthew J. Patent number: 11944278Abstract: A cassette for collecting a tissue sample. The cassette includes a housing configured to be removably coupled with a manifold receiver of a medical fluid collection system. The housing defines a first void space, a second void space, and an outlet opening. A catch tray is removably positionable within the first void space and includes a screen defining porous features for collecting the tissue sample. A filter element separate from the catch tray is disposed within the second void space. The housing may include a cap portion defining the first void space, and a shell portion coupled to the cap portion and defining the second void space. The cassette may be simultaneously operable in a tissue collection mode in which fluid is suctioned across the catch tray to collect the tissue sample, and a bypass mode in which the fluid is not suctioned across the catch tray.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Stryker CorporationInventors: Brian James VanDerWoude, Brian MacLachlan, Stephen Isham, Stephen J. Patent number: 11911729Abstract: The present disclosure is directed ion-exchange systems and devices that include composite ion-exchange membranes having 3D printed spacers on them. These 3D printed spacers can drastically reduce the total intermembrane spacing within the system/device while maintaining a reliable sealing surface around the exterior border of the membrane. By adding the spacers directly to the membrane using additive manufacturing, the amount of material used can be reduced without adversely impacting the manufacturability of the composite membrane as well as allow for complex spacer geometries that can reduce the restrictions to flow resulting in less pressure drop associated with the flow in the active area of the membranes.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2023Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Inventors: Ethan L. Demeter, Michael James Connor, Jr., Chad Unrau, Brian M. McDonald

Publication number: 20230406531Abstract: A system ensures the correct type of fuel is dispensed in an aircraft while removing the introduction of human error in the refueling process. The system includes an RFID tag disposed at one or more aircraft that electronically stores data such as engine type, engine hours, fuel type, tail number, and pilot/subscriber data for the aircraft on which the RFID tag is disposed. An RFID reader is disposed at or near a fuel dispensing mechanism, such as a fuel truck or tank. A signal indicative of fuel type is emitted from the RFID tag to the RFID reader. RFID tags on aircraft that are enrolled in the system's subscription service enable aircraft to be recognized by a module operating the fuel dispensing mechanism. Based on a comparison performed by the module, authorization to begin fueling is either permitted or declined.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2023Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventors: Walter Lehmer Dunn, Jr., Chad James Unrau, Vernon Lee Tindell, Thomas Walter Hanke
