Abstract: Methods, systems and products thereby for depositing a value-bearing instrument in a financial account remotely from a financial institution are disclosed. The system may include a processor configured to receive an electronic image of the value-bearing instrument, determine a user's financial account information, and transmit the electronic image or a replica thereof to a financial institution for processing. The products include computer readable mediums for providing instructions to cause the processor to perform the operations above. As such, the methods, systems and products embodied in the present disclosure allow a user to deposit value-bearing instruments without traveling to their financial institution, and allow financial institutions to reduce in-person transactions and associated personnel costs while receiving timely deposits into their asset management control.

Abstract: A parcel carrier billing service includes a mobile unit for processing received parcels. Shipment parameters are received and used in calculating a postage that is assessed to a user account. The user account may be for a service provider network account that provides multimedia content such as Internet protocol based television services or broadband services. Notifications to the shipping party and recipient of the parcel may be sent upon receiving the parcel by the service and upon delivery of the parcel. Notifications may be sent via email, text message, or instant message chat sessions, as examples.

Abstract: Electronic coupon systems and methods to operate the same are disclosed. A disclosed example coupon management system includes a processor to determine an applicable coupon for an item to be purchased, and a network interface to receive a coupon selection from a remotely located user device, and to send the coupon to a remotely located point-of-sale terminal, wherein the point-of-sale terminal is to identify the item to be purchased and to apply the identified coupon to the item to be purchased.
