  • Patent number: 11990696
Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for a plug-in device including a base having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. A first PCB has a first surface defining a first plane, and a plurality of pins connected to and extending outwardly from the first surface, with each pin being received in one of the apertures of the base. A bracket secures the first PCB to the base. A second PCB is secured to the bracket, extending outwardly from the first PCB and defining a second plane, with the second plane being at an acute angle with respect to the first plane. An antenna housing is secured to the bracket and the second PCB and includes at least a first antenna. A cover is releasably secured to the base.

  • Publication number: 20240141692
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses in accordance with embodiments of the invention can use a variety of computing devices to interact with and/or control a secure enclosure for a key fob. The secure enclosure may enclose the key fob, and includes a computing device, a locking mechanism, and at least one actuator. An actuator may control the locking mechanism. The actuator, when activated, may exert a force on a key fob secured within the secure enclosure, which may cause one of the buttons of the key fob to be depressed. The computing device controls the activation of the actuators. The computing device may have wireless communication capability that allows a user to wirelessly control the actuators of the computing device, for example, to lock or unlock the enclosure, or to depress a button of the key fob secured within the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 7058408
Abstract: In accordance with the preferred embodiments of the present invention, a method (400) and an apparatus for enabling discontinuous transmission feature on a mobile station (150) are described herein. The apparatus generally includes a transmitting unit (320) and a controller (330). The controller (330) is operable to control transmission of mobile information via a first communication resource of a reverse link (210) in response to a trigger event. Accordingly, the transmitting unit (320) is operable to transmit mobile information via a second communication resource of the reverse link (210). The second communication resource is operable for discontinuous transmission.

  • Patent number: 6144646
Abstract: A communication system (200) includes a plurality of channel elements (201-05). A mobile station (101) communicates with a base station (114), both included in communication system (200), via a forward link (121) and a reverse link (122) communication. The communication system assigns a finite number (N) of channel elements (201-03) selected from plurality of channel elements (201-05) for forward link communication (121), inputs at least one forward link signal (210) associated with forward link (121) to each of N channel elements (201-03), determines a power gain requirement of forward link (121), adjusts power gain setting of each of N channel elements (201-03) such that an aggregate of power gain settings of N channel elements (201-03) substantially equals to the power gain requirement, outputs N forward link signals (231-33) with adjusted power gain accordingly, and combines N forward link signals (231-33) to form a combined forward link signal (250).
