The device further includes an elongate channel attachable to a second portion of the portable computer housing. The elongate channel includes complementary widened portions arranged along an elongate opening that longitudinally extends along the elongate channel. The elongate rod is shaped and sized to be laterally insertable into and removeable from the elongate channel when the widened portions of the elongate rod are longitudinally aligned with the complementary widened portions of the elongate channel to allow assembly and disassembly, respectively, of the first and second portions of the portable computer housing.
