    Abstract: An electrical switchgear comprises a front, a back and a switch arrangement. The switch arrangement comprises a terminal arrangement comprising an electrical contact for a bus and an electrical contact for a load connection which are spaced apart along an axial direction; and a device that is driveable into said terminal arrangement to a service position to make an electrical connection between said electrical contact for said load connection and said electrical connection for said bus. The electrical contact for said load connection is located closer to said back of said switchgear than is said electrical contact for said bus.

    Abstract: An electrical enclosure includes a housing having a front, a back, a plurality of sides, a plurality of sections disposed between the sides, at least one electrical apparatus, and a plurality of electrical bus members electrically connected to the electrical apparatus. The electrical apparatus is disposed within a first one of the sections of the housing, and a substantial portion of the electrical bus members are collectively disposed within a second one of the sections of the housing. At least the second one of the sections and the substantial portion of the electrical bus members collectively disposed therein are accessible from the front of the housing, regardless of whether the electrical apparatus is within or removed from the first one of the sections of the housing. An electrical bus assembly is also disclosed.

    Abstract: An electrical system and a sensor for on-line monitoring of the state of high-voltage insulation in the electrical system. In this arrangement, the signals associated with partial discharge activity are monitored and transmitted from the sensor to monitoring instrumentation. The sensor is interconnected with the potential stress shield of existing bushings. The capacitance in the bushing between the main conductor and the stress shield conducts partial discharge current which is available for being sensed.
