  • Publication number: 20210406105
Abstract: A processor generates a first allocation matrix and accesses a representation of relationships between individual system elements, representing lower-level system elements to be considered at a current-level of design of a product, with each other. The processor creates an element entry in the first allocation matrix for at least a subset of the individual system elements and creates an element entry in the first allocation matrix for one or more directional relationships between the individual system elements as indicated in the representation.

  • Publication number: 20160267421
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention illustrated and described herein include computer systems and software for quality management. In one embodiment of the present invention, a web-based application hosts quality information managed at one or more distributed sites. Application users at each site can individually manage a subset of the quality information available to them at their respective site such that the subset of the quality information is presented to the users transparent of the source of the quality information. Users may access the quality information according to one or more user-defined quality information levels. The quality information may be sourced and/or maintained at the distributed sites as well. Quality information management supported by this and other embodiments of the present invention may include hosting an approval process for new or revised documents according to a plurality of approval levels. Approvals may be received from one or more individuals at each level.

  • Publication number: 20150095101
Abstract: A non-transitory machine readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to perform a method of receiving input defining one or more requirements for a product. The method may generate one or more cross-reference matrices from the one or more requirements based on a hazard analysis risk assessment. The method may generate a parent-child structure for the one or more cross-reference matrices and populate a requirement file based on the cross-reference matrices. The method may generate a risk prevention analysis file based on input from the requirement file and one or more linkages between the one or more requirements and the parent-child structure, and output the risk prevention analysis file. The method may output the risk prevention analysis file as a tree structure and have a tool to enable a user to scroll through the tree structure.

  • Publication number: 20150039386
Abstract: An engineering management system including one or more processors configured to receive input defining one or more requirements for a product. The engineering management system may generate a first risk prevention document based on one or more of the product requirements and receive risk parameter input related to the first risk prevention document. The engineering management system may initiate a problem solver analysis tool based on the first risk prevention document and receive problem parameter input related to the problem solver analysis tool. The engineering management system may determine one or more outputs using the problem solver analysis tool. The engineering management system may populate one or more aspects of the first risk prevention document with the determined outputs based on one or more defined associations between the first risk prevention document and the problem solver analysis tool.

  • Patent number: 7818192
Abstract: Computer system for controlled creation, processing, administration and display of quality information within an enterprise. Linkages may be defined among enterprise entities, process/product development attributes, strategies, goals, process improvement opportunities, etc. Visual analysis of data associated with the linkages is provided in an interactive fashion. Linkages may also be defined among online quality-related documentation throughout an enterprise such that information is automatically propagated/reconciled through the enterprise in a controlled and efficient fashion. The creation of process documentation for new products is facilitated based on a concept of content/document inheritance.
