  • Patent number: 11853107
Abstract: Techniques are described for dynamic phase generation and load reduction for a query. A query, for instance, is based on user input of a query in a natural language (NL) form, e.g., an NL query. Generally, an NL query may include multiple terms and/or phrases that make up a complex query, such as a sentence in a human-readable language. Accordingly, to enable a query result to be generated, the NL query is parsed into multiple logical sections and query contexts are determined for the logical sections. A set of search phases is generated based on the logical sections and the query contexts. The search phases can then be executed in a specific execution order to generate a query result for the NL query.

  • Patent number: 11847221
Abstract: System and method for executing scan operations on computing systems use a sparse file that represents a storage device of a computing system to scan a file stored in the storage device. The sparse file is created and mounted to a scanner appliance such that the sparse file appears to a scan engine of the scanner appliance as a local storage device. When a read request for the file stored in the storage device is issued from the scan engine that results in an implicit read request to the sparse file, the implicit read request is trapped. While the implicit read request is trapped, data of the file is retrieved from the storage device of the computing system to the scanner appliance using a communication transport. The retrieved data of the file is then scanned using the scan engine at the scanner appliance.

  • Patent number: 11848942
Abstract: A method and system for detecting intrusion in a distributed field bus of a vehicle network involve using an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to detect intrusion in the network. In a network with a number of nodes, IDS is configured in each of the number of nodes. The IDS, in a first node configured in a transmission mode, receives at least one message signal. A hash function is performed on at least one message signal for generating a first Honeypot (HPT) signal. Simultaneously, the first node transmits the first HPT signal to the second node. The first node and the second node generates a reference HPT and second HPT respectively using an echo-hash function. The IDS detect intrusion based on a comparison of the reference HPT and the second HPT. The method is independent of network traffic timing and can be performed in real-time.

  • Patent number: 11847082
Abstract: An Information Handling System (IHS) includes multiple hardware devices, and a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) in communication with the hardware devices. The BMC includes executable code to cause the BMC to receive a message associated with a non-registered hardware device that is not registered to be managed by the BMC in which the message formatted according to a native protocol of the BMC. The code further causes the code to transmit the message to a device plugin associated with the non-registered hardware device in which the device plugin comprises custom instructions that, upon execution by a system processor, cause the IHS to convert the message into a protocol associated with the non-registered hardware device, and forward the converted message to the non-registered hardware device using the protocol of the non-registered hardware device.

  • Patent number: 11841854
Abstract: Techniques are described for differentiation of search results for accurate query output. Generally, such techniques provide intelligent grouping and output of search results by considering contextual factors that relate different search results. For instance, data records that are aggregated in response to a query are inspected to identify attributes (e.g., data types) and attribute values to determine contextual relationships between attributes. The contextual relationships are utilized to differentiate the data records into different groups for query output, thus enabling an accurate characterization of query output not enabled by conventional search technologies.

  • Patent number: 11829248
Abstract: An information handling system includes a memory and a baseboard management controller. The memory includes a recovery partition including a recovery kernel, a first boot partition including first firmware, and a second boot partition including backup firmware. The baseboard management controller (BMC) attempts a first boot operation of the first firmware in the first boot partition. In response to a failure of the first boot operation, the BMC attempts a second boot operation of the backup firmware in the second boot partition. In response to a failure of the second boot operation, the BMC operates a recovery kernel. During the operation of the recovery kernel, the BMC provides a firmware request to an enclosure controller, receives blocks of correct firmware from a functioning baseboard management controller, stores the blocks of correct firmware in the first boot partition, attempts and completes a third boot operation of the correct firmware.

  • Patent number: 11829787
Abstract: A multi-process model to support compiling applications for multiple platforms is described. In one embodiment, applications designed for execution on a mobile platform can be ported to and/or compiled for execution on a desktop/laptop platform without requiring modification of the core program code of the mobile application. The mobile application is executed using a multi-process (e.g., two or more process) model in which the core mobile application program generates content that is displayed by a host process. The host process enables automatic translation of program calls to generate mobile user interface elements into program calls that generate user interface elements of the host platform. The translation can be performed using a multi-process (e.g., two or more process) model in which the core application program generates content that is displayed by a host process.

  • Patent number: 11824922
Abstract: Health and usage data are monitored for storage devices of a remote computing environment that is remote from a computing service provider. The remote computing environment comprises a subset of computing systems of a computing service provider that manages the remote computing environment. Based on the monitored health data, it is determined that one of the storage devices has failed. In response, it is determined whether a computing device of the remote computing environment that is associated with the failed storage device should be marked unhealthy or continue to operate at a reduced capacity. When it is determined that the computing device associated with the failed storage device should continue to operate at a reduced capacity, the computing device is reprovisioned with available storage devices and the computing device is operated at the reduced capacity.

  • Publication number: 20230364987
Abstract: A capless fuel unit having an elongated tubular and cylindrical housing open at each end, the housing defining a first and a second longitudinally spaced fluid ports. A first flapper valve is associated with the first fluid port and a second flapper valve with the second fluid port, the flapper valves being movable between open and closed positions and resiliently urged toward their respective closed positions. A pressure relief valve is at least partially contained within an interior of the flapper valves. An arrangement of elastomeric seals incorporating a Graphene-derivative are positioned within the housing in proximity with the flapper valves for resisting hydrocarbon emission from fuel vapors escaping from the unit to the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20230367654
Abstract: A cloud-computing system dynamically manages allocation of infrastructure nodes and compute nodes in an edge zone of the cloud-computing system. The edge zone begins with a first number of infrastructure nodes and a second number of compute nodes. As the edge zone executes customer workloads, the cloud-computing system determines whether the infrastructure nodes are over utilized or under utilized. When the infrastructure nodes are under utilized, the cloud-computing system re-assigns an infrastructure node to the compute nodes. When the infrastructure nodes are over utilized, the cloud-computing system re-assigns a compute node to the infrastructure nodes. In this way, the cloud-computing system dynamically maintains an optimal balance between resources devoted to supporting the edge zone (the infrastructure nodes) and resources devoted to executing customer workloads (the compute nodes).

  • Publication number: 20230364416
Abstract: Implantable medical leads include at least one of a polymeric stylet tube and/or a distal backfill material that is softer than is conventional at least in the area where a stylet bend will cause a distal bend in the lead. The polymeric stylet tube provides for improved torsional and column stiffness during insertion while the softer distal backfill material reduces a whipping action to increase the steerability and control of the lead during insertion. The softer backfill material may be provided alone or in combination with a harder distal backfill material. The softer backfill material may be provided as an insert that is encapsulated by the harder distal back fill material or may be provided as a backfill material that exists in a position adjacent to the harder backfill material.
