  • Publication number: 20180218223
Abstract: A system and method for analysing queues in frames of video enables operators to preferably draw three regions of interest overlaid upon the video as short, medium, and long queue regions that form a notional queue area within the video. The regions are drawn with knowledge of, or in anticipation of, foreground objects such as individuals and vehicles waiting for service in a queue. Examples include retail point of sale locations or for automated teller machine (ATM) transactions. In conjunction with a video analytics system that analyses the movement of the foreground objects relative to the queue regions, the system determines the number of objects occupying each queue region, length of the queue, and other queue-related statistics. The system can then create reports and send messages that include the queue analysis results for directing operators to change their staffing resources as part of a real-time queue servicing and optimization response.

  • Publication number: 20160224215
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and a device for selecting an entity in a drawing, wherein the method includes that a hooked preview program corresponding to a functional instruction is invoked after the functional instruction is inputted into a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system; a pickup point in a drawing is selected; an entity in a predetermined range is filtered around the pickup point to obtain a preselected entity; the preselected entity is processed via the hooked preview program so as to pre-display a result of processing the preselected entity by the inputted instruction. An effect of a selected entity processed by a control instruction can be previewed according to the present invention, thus avoiding repeated selections of a graphic entity by a user to further improve working efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20160092753
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing video data in a security system. An analysis compares a current frame to a background model. The analysis system compares the background model to the current frame to identify changed pixel patches. The analysis system uses morphological image processing to generate masks based on the changed pixel patches. Next, the analysis system applies the masks to the background model and the current frames to determine whether the changed pixel patches are characteristic of abandoned or removed objects within the video data.

  • Patent number: 6833948
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for implementing power equalization of a DWDM system, comprises: Measure and calculate, respectively, a gain spectrum characteristic curve of an optical power booster amplifier unit and a loss spectrum characteristic curve of a loss device with related wavelengths in the DWDM system; Subtracting the loss spectrum characteristic curve from the gain spectrum characteristic curve to obtain a difference curve, taking the complement curve of the difference curve as a loss characteristic target curve of a GFF; Setting in the optical power booster amplifier unit a GFF having loss characteristic curve coinciding with the loss characteristic target curve. The invention synthetically considers gain spectrum of an optical power booster amplifier unit and loss spectrum of a loss device with relating wavelengths to define a loss characteristic curve which a GFF should have. In this way, optical power flatness of every channel is effectively guaranteed.

  • Patent number: 6728436
Abstract: The invention relates to an optical signal transmission system with phase modulation and the implementation method. The system adds a phase modulator in the optical signal-emitting module. The optical pulses after intensity modulation and a high-speed data stream are input to the phase modulator synchronously, where the optical pulses are modulated in phase according to the high-speed data stream into high-speed optical signals with chattering. According to the invention, the phase modulator added in the optical signal-emitting module modulates optical signals in phase, which has been modulated in intensity. Appropriate chattering modulation can depress effectively the non-linear effect in the transmission of optical pulses through the interaction between chromatic dispersion and non-linear effects. Thus, the power input of individual channels is increased effectively, and the passive relay regeneration distance is extended.
