  • Patent number: 11953003
Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided, the scroll compressor having a block insertion groove recessed by a predetermined depth into a rear surface of a non-orbiting scroll to accommodate a discharge port and a plurality of bypass holes, and a retainer block having a bypass valve that opens and closes the plurality of bypass holes fixedly inserted into the block insertion groove. The bypass valve may be fixed to a first axial side surface of the retainer block facing the block insertion groove. Through this, the bypass valve that suppresses or prevents overcompression of a compression chamber is not fastened to a non-orbiting end plate, which may allow the non-orbiting end plate to be reduced in thickness. This may shorten lengths of the plurality of bypass holes and the discharge port by the reduced thickness of the non-orbiting end plate, thereby decreasing a dead volume in the plurality of bypass holes and the discharge port.

  • Publication number: 20240102469
Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a block insertion groove configured to accommodate a discharge port and at least one bypass hole disposed in a rear surface of a non-orbiting end plate of a non-orbiting scroll, and a retainer block including at least one bypass valve configured to open or close the at least one bypass hole inserted into the block insertion groove. The at least one bypass hole may include a first bypass hole and a second bypass hole. The at least one bypass valve may include a first bypass valve configured to open or close the first bypass hole and a second bypass valve configured to open or close the second bypass hole, and may be disposed between the block insertion groove and the retainer block facing the block insertion groove. Accordingly, the first and second bypass valves that suppress or prevent overcompression in a compression chamber are not fastened to the non-orbiting end plate, which may allow the non-orbiting end plate to be made thin.

  • Publication number: 20240077080
Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include a back pressure hole formed through a non-orbiting scroll and a back pressure chamber assembly such that a compression chamber and a back pressure chamber communicate with each other. A back pressure valve may be disposed inside of the back pressure hole and move along a longitudinal direction of the back pressure hole by a pressure difference between the compression chamber and the back pressure chamber, to vary a flow path area of the back pressure hole. The back pressure valve may include a valve body that extends in an axial direction and a plurality of holes formed through the valve body in the axial direction. With the configuration, pressure pulsation in the back pressure chamber may be suppressed or prevented.

  • Publication number: 20230400024
Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided. In the scroll compressor, a valve accommodating groove that accommodates a discharge port and bypass holes is recessed by a predetermined depth into a rear surface of a non-orbiting scroll, and a valve guide is disposed between the rear surface of the non-orbiting scroll and a rear surface of the back pressure chamber assembly facing the rear surface of the non-orbiting scroll. Bypass valve guide holes into which bypass valves that open and close the bypass holes are slidably inserted are formed in the valve guide. Accordingly, the bypass valves that suppress or prevent overcompression in compression chambers are not fastened to a non-orbiting end plate, which may allow the non-orbiting end plate to be reduced in thickness. As the non-orbiting end plate is reduced in thickness, lengths of the bypass holes may be reduced, thereby decreasing dead volumes in the bypass holes.

  • Patent number: 11767843
Abstract: A scroll compressor may include an oil supply passage formed in a main frame. A first end of the oil supply passage may be open toward an orbiting space of the main frame and a second end may be open toward an Oldham ring. With this configuration, even if refrigerant suctioned through a refrigerant suction pipe sweeps away oil, which lubricates a sliding surface between a key and a key groove adjacent to the refrigerant suction pipe while passing through between the key and the key groove, oil may be quickly and smoothly supplied to the sliding surface. This may prevent wear between the key and the key groove so as to enhance efficiency of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 11629714
Abstract: A compressor may include a casing, and a compression device installed inside of the casing and that compresses the refrigerant while rotating by receiving a rotational force of an electric motor through a rotational shaft. A high/low pressure separation plate may be installed at an upper portion of the compression device, and an insulation plate may be provided to block the high/low pressure separation plate and the suction tube from each other by being located therebetween. The insulation plate may reduce heat transfer between a refrigerant discharge space having a high temperature located at the upper portion of the high/low pressure separation plate and a refrigerant suction space having a relatively low temperature located at a lower portion of the high/low pressure separation plate.

  • Patent number: 11242854
Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided in which a center of a back pressure chamber is eccentrically disposed relative to a center of a fixed scroll. For example, the center of the back pressure chamber may be moved towards a center of an orbiting scroll at a time of discharge, thereby preventing displacement of the fixed scroll and ensuring stability in orbital movement of the orbiting scroll.
