  • Patent number: 11274333
Abstract: Compositions comprising activated topoisomerase adaptors (TOPO-adaptors) and methods of using the activated TOPO-adaptors are provided for preparing a library of target DNA duplexes derived from sample polynucleotides (e.g., DNA, RNA) for the streamlined preparation of a large number of samples. Such libraries may be used for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 26, 2016
Date of Patent: March 15, 2022
Assignee: Molecular Cloning Laboratories (MCLAB) LLC

  • Publication number: 20180087050
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions, methods, and kits for inserting a plurality of synthetic transposons each comprising a different nucleic acid sequence (i.e., molecular barcode) in a target nucleic acid of interest to allow extraction of contiguity information in the target nucleic acid. The molecular barcodes are also useful for reducing amplification or sequencing bias and errors, and for guiding accurate sequence assembly of the target nucleic acid from sequencing reads. The compositions, methods, and kits described herein have many applications, including haplotyping, genome assembly, sequencing of repetitive regions, detection of structural variations and copy number variations, chromosomal conformation analysis, and methylation analysis.

  • Publication number: 20110275161
Abstract: The teachings provided herein are directed to compounds and methods for detecting nerve agents using rhodamine-derived detection compounds. A rhodamine-derived detection compound for nerve agents can include any rhodamine derivative that can bind to a nerve agent and produce a detectable signal for detection of the nerve agent. In some embodiments, the rhodamine-derived detection compound comprises rhodamine B-hydroxamate and the nerve agent can be detected in amounts as low as about 10 ppm.
