  • Publication number: 20090169667
Abstract: An apparatus includes a spinning nozzle, a fiber drawing device and a water spray device. The spinning nozzle has spinnerets and a spinning solution is filled therein. The spinning solution includes a solvent and a fiber material. The solvent includes N-Methylmorpholine N-Oxide, and the fiber material includes cellulose. The fiber drawing device is disposed under the spinning nozzle and has a gas flow generating device therein for generating a gas flow which is ejected from the top of the fiber drawing device and toward the bottom thereof. The fiber drawing device also has a slit on the top thereof, and the spinning solution from the spinning nozzle would enter the fiber drawing device through the slit. The water spray device is disposed at the slit of the fiber drawing device, and the spinning solution would pass through the water spray device before entering the fiber drawing device.

  • Publication number: 20090166577
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an electrode of a supercapacitor is provided. First, a poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN) fabric is provided. The PAN fabric includes a plurality of PAN fibers each having a diameter of about 50-500 nm. Then, the PAN fabric undergoes a heat treatment so that the PAN fibers are carbonized to form a carbon fiber textile. The carbon fiber fabric includes a plurality of carbon fibers each having a diameter of about 50-500 nm. The surface of each carbon fiber is nano-porous having a plurality of nano pores of about 1-50 nm in diameter. The total surface area of the nano pores account for about 85-95% of the total surface area of the carbon fibers. The carbon fiber fabric is then cut to acquire the electrode of the supercapacitor.

  • Publication number: 20070145627
Abstract: This invention provides a method of producing chitosan non-woven fabrics and an apparatus thereof. At first, a chitosan acidic solution is extruded to form a chitosan fibrous stream. Then, a solidifying agent is ejected to form a solidifying agent stream. The solidifying agent stream and the chitosan fibrous stream are combined to form a pre-solidified chitosan fiber. Then, high-pressure air is ejected on the pre-solidified chitosan fiber to stretch the pre-solidified chitosan fiber. Finally, the chitosan fibers are collected to form chitosan non-woven fabrics.

  • Publication number: 20070071842
Abstract: An apparatus for producing fibers includes a raw materials supplier, a coagulating agents supplier and at least one spray nozzle. The raw materials supplier is used for supplying raw materials. The coagulating agents supplier is used for supplying coagulating agents. The spray nozzle has an inner needle and an outer needle. The inner needle is connected to the raw materials supplier for spraying the raw materials. The outer needle is connected to the coagulating agents supplier and covers the inner needle for spraying the coagulating agents. The raw materials sprayed by the inner needle interact with the coagulating agents sprayed by the outer needle to form the fibers.

  • Publication number: 20070042665
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for making a micro-porous non-woven fabric, which comprises melt-blown fibers, functional particulates and low-melting point fibers. The low-melting point fibers are used to increase porosity of the non-woven fabric to enhance air permeability. The melt-blown fibers are tacky to improve the strength of adhesion between the melt-blown fibers and the functional particulates.

  • Publication number: 20060145382
Abstract: A method for forming a three-dimensional carbonizable fabric structure is provided. The fabric structure may be treated by a thermal treatment through a continuous thermal system including agent impregnation, oxidation, carbonization, and activation processes. In one embodiment the three-dimensional fabric structures are transferred through a thermal system by a tension-roller apparatus. The processing parameters includes processing temperature; processing time; addition of nitrogen, oxygen, and steam; and transferring speed, may be adjusted in accordance with the desired specific surface area, the pore size distribution, and the unit weight of the fabric structure.
