  • Publication number: 20200205620
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that facilitate identifying, logging, mapping, and/or tracking of the movements and/or activities of individuals throughout a facility using a plurality of dispensers are positioned at selected locations about the facility. The systems and methods further allow for capturing infrared radiation of one or more individuals within a prescribed detection range, area, or zone covered using at least one passive infrared radiation sensor. The control system of a dispenser of the plurality of dispensers can be disconnected from a power source of the dispenser when the at least one passive infrared radiation sensor does not capture infrared radiation of one or more individuals within the prescribed detection range, area, or zone. • Publication number: 20200187727
Abstract: An electronic dispenser for dispensing flexible sheet material. A control circuit in the housing receives a plurality of signals and controls dispensing of the sheet material from the housing. A tear bar is mounted within the housing for severance of sheet material by the user. A pivotally mounted pawl member is located proximate to the tear bar such that movement of sheet material into the tear bar for severance pivots the pawl member from a first position to a second position. A signal means associated with the pawl member is located such that movement of the pawl member to the second position causes the signal means to send a signal to notify the control circuit that the sheet material has been removed.

  • Patent number: 10478023
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods in which a sheet product dispenser comprises a front cover moveably coupled with a housing back, and an overfill prevention protrusion disposed in an internal storage space defined by the front cover and housing back. The interior storage space is configured to hold a plurality of stacked sheets. The front cover and/or the housing back includes an opening for dispensing the plurality of sheets. The overfill prevention protrusion is configured to gradually interfere with the plurality of stacked sheets from fitting in the interior storage space. For example, the protrusion may be configured to prevent the plurality of stacked sheet from stacking in a linear fashion (e.g., in a fashion parallel to a wall of the housing back).

  • Patent number: 10441117
Abstract: An electronic dispenser for dispensing flexible sheet material. A control circuit receives a plurality of signals and controls dispensing of the sheet material. A tear bar is mounted within the housing for severance of the sheet material. A pivotally mounted pawl member is located proximate to the tear bar such that movement of the sheet material into the tear bar for severance pivots the pawl member from a first position to a second position, such movement causing a signal to be sent to the control circuit. The dispensing mechanism is operative in a first mode to be responsive to a signal from a proximity sensor to dispense a sheet of material, and is operative in a second mode to dispense a next sheet in response to the signal activated by movement of the pawl member to the second position in response to dispensed sheet material being removed from the dispenser.
