Publication number: 20240083781Abstract: A process for self-cleaning an electrolytic cell involves introducing a stream of seawater into the electrolytic cell having at least one cathode and one anode. The cathode and anode are substantially fully coated with a coating composition. A forward bias is applied between the anode and the cathode at a first current density as seawater flows between the electrodes. Subsequently, a reverse bias is provided at the cathode. The reverse bias is provided at a second current density that is lower than the first current density. When the reverse bias is applied, the polarity of the cathode is reversed for a short duration. This facilitates the generation of a small amount of hydrochloric acid at the previous cathode surface causing the dissolution of calcium, magnesium or other deposits on the surface of the electrodes without damaging the coating composition on the electrodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2022Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Jose Lopez, Charles Clements, Dana Casbeer, Rudolf Matousek

Patent number: 11502494Abstract: A cable spacer includes first and second angle arms each having a cable engaging end at one end and a flat tab portion at an opposite end having a connecting tab and an aperture to connect the arms to each other. An insulator extends between and connects the angle arms at their respective connecting tabs. The insulator has a non-conductive core. The angle arms and insulator mounted to each other define a spacer plane. A bottom arm is mounted to and depends from insulator. The bottom arm is mounted to the insulator to sway into and out of the spacer plane. A clamp secures the cable spacer to a messenger and includes upper and lower clamp portions. The upper clamp portion mounts to the messenger and the lower clamp portion mounts to cable spacer angle arms. The lower clamp portion is rotatable relative to the upper clamp portion.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2022Date of Patent: November 15, 2022Assignee: Marmon Utility LLCInventors: Charles Clement, Jordan Barthol, Shravani Talabathula, Edward Laughlin, Guberson Mercedat

Patent number: 11227708Abstract: High voltage insulators are disclosed, along with related methods of manufacture and use. The disclosed high voltage insulators include a core strength member joined to one or more end fittings and secured with one or more elastomeric members. A plastic body surrounds the core strength member, the elastomeric member, and at least a portion of the end fitting. In particular, the plastic body is molded over the elastomeric member(s) and, upon cooling, the plastic body exerts a radial compressive force on the underlying elastomeric member(s) to seal the joint of the high voltage insulator and protect it from moisture, even throughout temperature fluctuations in the field.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2019Date of Patent: January 18, 2022Assignee: Marmon Utility LLCInventors: Charles Clement, Guberson Mercedat, Gary Grenier

Patent number: 11120518Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided for authorizing utilization of a mobility service by a user. The method includes establishing a mobility database with an arbiter, wherein the database is associated with the user and includes biographic data, payment data and identification data, and wherein the identification data represents a legal form of identification issued to the user and the payment data represents a form of payment; validating the form of payment and the legal form of identification; requesting, by the user, utilization of the mobility service from a mobility operator; authenticating, by the user, to the mobility operator; requesting authorization to use the mobility service; and providing an authorization if: (a) the payment data represents sufficient funds to pay for the mobility service, and (b) the identification data represents a legal form of identification required for the mobility service.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2019Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL INCORPORATEDInventors: Aude Pellichero, Charles Clement-Cottuz, Damien Simon Moubêche, Sophie Zellmeyer, Alain Delperdange, Laurent Bréchon-Cornery

Patent number: 9192784Abstract: Each image in a first set of images includes respective exposures of an image capture device to a beam of radiation, each of a plurality of components of a radiation delivery system being at respective specified orientations with respect to a three-dimensional coordinate system during each of the exposures. Respective beam images are reconstructed from each of the exposures by drawing a line at a predetermined angle to the first image and through a center of a radiation beam shown on each first image. The reconstructed beam images are combined on a second image.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2015Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignee: Radiological Imaging Technology, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Ritt, Charles Clements, Ryan Young

Publication number: 20010020956Abstract: A user selects a graphic template from a library of graphic templates. The graphic template for a graphic object contains both predefined graphic parameters and user defined graphic parameters. A user is prompted to specify the user defined graphic parameters. Once both the user defined and predetermined graphic parameters are set, the vector graphic instructions from the now completed graphic template are rendered to produce a bitmapped graphic object that is at the same time anti-aliased against the background. The system is particularly useful for producing customised graphic objects for use of Internet web pages.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2001Publication date: September 13, 2001Applicant: ZYRIS PLC.Inventor: Charles Clement Moir

Patent number: 4069628Abstract: An eave thermal baffle for insulation adapted to be fastened on the exterior building wall and between adjacent roof framing members or other framing as may be appropriate. The baffle comprises a flat portion called the plate section adapted to lie on the top plate of the exterior wall and to be fastened thereto or placed against the exterior face of the exterior wall and to be fastened thereto. Extending vertically from this flat portion is a wall portion adapted to be fastened to the inner faces of appropriate framing members. Extending from this wall portion is a main baffle section which extends inwardly of the building and upwardly from the vertical wall. The main baffle section may also be fastened to the inner faces of a pair of appropriate framing members. Upstanding ribs extending along the sides of the main baffle section, and the main baffle section, serve to form a trough or channel for movement of ventilating air.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 1976Date of Patent: January 24, 1978Assignee: Pease CompanyInventor: Charles Clement Kreimer
