  • Publication number: 20220226178
Abstract: A trauma gurney includes a base connected to a frame by a vertical adjustment mechanism. The base is configured that it can be maneuvered over a receiving table. The frame holds a detachable platform suitable for the positioning of a patient thereon. Actuation of the adjustment mechanism allows the frame to be lowered and the patient platform to be detached. The patient platform is configured to be non-interfering with various procedures such as MRI procedures so the patient platform can remain with the patient after the patient has been transferred without adverse effects to the procedures. The patient platform can also be reattached to the frame after it has been removed. The trauma gurney beneficially allows a patient to be transferred from the gurney to another surface, such as for imaging, without requiring a conventional lateral transfer. Similarly, the trauma gurney allows a patient to be transferred back to the gurney.

  • Patent number: 9542177
Abstract: The states or configurations of peer hosts within a host class may be analyzed and enforced by comparing records of the respective systems' states or configurations to one another and taking steps to address any inconsistencies between the records. In such a manner, the respective systems within the host class may identify, analyze and/or correct any changes in states or configurations of any of the systems, which may have been caused by a malfunction or security breach. The configurations may include one or more of a set of data, a version of a software application, a level of permission, a particular operational setting or any other element of operation. The hosts may be defined as peers based on a common location or a common function of each of the systems, or on any other basis, and the records may include any relevant data relating to the states or configurations of each of the systems.

  • Patent number: 8652493
Abstract: The present invention pertains to oil-in-water emulsion compositions having hydrophobic materials stably dispersed therein and methods for making such. The preferred method of making the emulsion compositions the formation of two O/W emulsions. A first O/W emulsion is for wetting or otherwise pre-treating the hydrophobic components. Thereafter, the first emulsion is added to a second O/W emulsion after the second emulsion has been formed. Both emulsions use a ternary surfactant blend of cationic, anionic and bridging surfactants, making the finished product a double or “binary-CAN” emulsion system. Generally, the system has a bi-modal oil droplet distribution.

  • Patent number: 7974386
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for testing failure rate of newly installed network elements within a predetermined amount of time prior to customer use of the network elements are provided. An order report including information regarding one or more network elements is accessed, and based on the information provided by the orders report, a network element from the one or more network elements to be tested is determined. Information regarding the network element to be tested is retrieved from the orders report and included on a ticket created for the network element to be tested. The ticket created for the network element is then forwarded to a test device for testing of the network element associated with the forwarded ticket.
