  • Patent number: 6098995
Abstract: An improved vehicle suspension system for providing kneeling function to a vehicle having a modified lower floor. The suspension system includes a pair of springs each of which is respectively mounted at one of the rear wheels of the vehicle. The system also includes a pair of air suspension members, each is respectively mounted at one of the rear wheels for partially supporting the load of the vehicle. A compressor is used for supplying air to the suspension members. An exhaust valve provides a path for air to be exhausted from the suspension members to bring the vehicle lower to the kneeling height, and thereby provides the kneeling function.

  • Patent number: 5944388
Abstract: A removable vehicle seat is provided that allows for easy removal and reattachment of a vehicle seat to the floor of a vehicle. The design provides a simple structure which permits quick removal and reattachment by a single person but which is stable enough to remain attached to the vehicle floor in the event of an auto accident. The removable vehicle seat is particularly useful for vehicles which are utilized for transporting disabled persons in that removal of the vehicle seats allows for opening up space in a vehicle required for use by persons in wheelchairs.
