  • Patent number: 11459708
Abstract: An artificial turf system utilizing a surface stabilization grid. The grid includes (i) a plurality of closed cells having a wall height, with each cell sharing a common wall section with at least two adjacent cells, and (ii) substantially each cell includes at least one reinforcing rib extending across the cell to attach to opposing walls of the cell. A cementitious load bearing material fills substantially all the cells of the grid, a layer of drainage fabric is positioned over the stabilization grid, and an artificial turf is positioned over the layer of drainage fabric.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10865537
Abstract: A ground stabilization grid which includes a series of polygonal shaped cells having “x” sides. The cells are formed by polymer walls having a wall height of between about 1? and about 6?. Each cell shares a common wall section with at least two adjacent cells; and a majority of cells within the grid includes at least two reinforcing ribs extending across the cell to engage opposing walls of the cell. The reinforcing ribs are characterized by (i) engaging the cell walls between about 25% and about 75% of the wall height, and (ii) extending between different opposing walls of the cell.

  • Publication number: 20050006144
Abstract: A method for drilling a well below a body of water as disclosed which includes injecting into the well, at a depth below the water surface, a liquid having a lower density than a density of a drilling mud producing a mixture of drilling mud and low-density liquid in the well. The mixture of drilling mud and low-density liquid is withdrawn from an upper end of the well. The drilling mud and the low-density liquid are separated, with at least a portion of the separated low-density liquid returned to the depth below the water surface and at least a portion of the separated drilling mud returned to an upper end of the drill string.

  • Patent number: 4170624
Abstract: In a blown tube process of producing thermoplastic film or sheeting, the blown tube is collapsed by passing it through a trapezoidal frame assembly to change the circular cross section of the tube to a square cross section. The square cross section tube passing from the trapezoidal frame assembly is then passed through a predeterminedly controlled flattening transition section to a pair of nip rolls in a manner that the film arrives at the nip rolls with minimal stretching.
