  • Patent number: 5471383
Abstract: A sports object flight monitoring system including at least one shutterable camera units each of which units receive light patterns from each and every one of a plurality of contrasting areas or markers on the object in rapid successive sequence. A computer receives the signals generated by the light patterns as received by each camera unit to determine the flight characteristics of the object.

  • Patent number: 5054785
Abstract: A piezoelectric motion detector is disclosed. The device is particularly suitable for use in analyzing a golf ball when hit from a golf tee. A piezoelectric film is affixed to the bottom of a tee having a base. A signal generated by the piezoelectric film is amplified and is used, for example, to open a camera shutter and initiate a sequence of light flashes.

  • Patent number: 4014466
Abstract: An upstanding rectangular frame is provided including vertically spaced upper and lower elongated horizontal members and opposite end upstanding elongated members extending and interconnected between corresponding ends of the upper and lower members. Corresponding portions of the upstanding members are provided with vertically spaced pairs of clamp members for releasably clampingly engaging longitudinally spaced portions of elongated members such as fishing rods. The upper horizontal member of the frame has a handle portion supported therefrom centrally intermediate its opposite ends and the adjacent ends of the horizontal and upstanding members of the frame are securely but releasably secured together whereby the frame may be disassembled and stored in a compact state.
