  • Patent number: 8323190
Abstract: A Comprehensive Neuromuscular Profiler (CNMP) allows the observation of human and equine muscle functionality and characteristics. The CNMP consists of an integrated system which combines EMG technology, electromagnetic range-of-motion (ROM) technology, and functional capacity sensors. Output signals from the devices are digitized and stored in computer memory. The data may be transmitted to a server computer for further analysis. The server computer examines the data to determine patterns and consults an expert database to determine a diagnosis based on the patterns and combinations of patterns detected.

  • Publication number: 20120143064
Abstract: A muscular function monitoring and evaluating system includes a processor, a wireless interface, a display, a storage device storing a program and sets of test procedures, a signal collection device wirelessly coupled to the processor and a sensor connected to the signal collection device. The program, when executed by the processor, causes the system to display a patient information screen on the display for an operator to input patient's data of a patient to be tested, and receive the patient's data input through the screen. The processor displays, in accordance with one of the sets of test procedures, a muscle map indicating a place on the patient's body to which the sensor is to be attached. The processor instructs the patient through displayed instruction language, an animation or video image, or audible instructions.

  • Publication number: 20120143032
Abstract: A sensor web device is provided for measuring EMG (electromyographic) signals. The device has a base sheet and a plurality of EMG sensors disposed on the base sheet. The plurality of EMG sensors are arranged so that a desired EMG signal of a muscle in a human body is obtained by a corresponding one of the plurality of EMG sensors.

  • Publication number: 20080200827
Abstract: The present invention is a circuit for acquiring EMG signals and transferring it directly to a standard personal computer (PC) by converting the EMG signals to the Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. Once the EMG signals have been stored on the PC and made available to a doctor or other clinician, they may be displayed, tested, and/or manipulated to determine the relative health of the muscle that generated the original EMG signals.
