  • Patent number: 11046602
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus that both makes ozone gas and enables the creation of AOPs in the fluid flowing up the lift tube. The ozone gas and UV radiation are produced by the same UV generating ozone lamps. The apparatus can easily be connected to and becomes part of a lift tube. The apparatus enables pressurized air supplied by an air pump to be partially converted into ozone as the air flows by the UV lamps. This “ozonated air” is then released into a fluid by a diffuser placed in a lift tube below the apparatus. The ozonated bubbles, in turn, create an ozonated fluid that flows up the lift tube and through the apparatus preferably through a specially designed quartz tube that is matched to the size of the lift tube.

  • Patent number: 10906824
Abstract: An apparatus and method for ozone-aerating fluid is connected to a conventional water treatment system that includes a high pressure fluid pump and a high pressure filter connected to a main reservoir. Included is an auxiliary reservoir and low pressure filter. A first valve controls the fluid flow in a conduit connected to the output of the high pressure filter. A second valve controls the flow of fluid output from the filter to a lift tube. Ozonated air bubbles are injected into fluid in the lift tube. The fluid flows up the lift tube and into the auxiliary reservoir due to expansion of air bubbles. The fluid flows out of the auxiliary reservoir and filter under the force of gravity into the conduit on the downstream side of the first valve and into the main reservoir. A UV germicidal lamp may be positioned in the path of fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 10414677
Abstract: An apparatus for treating fluid in a main reservoir includes an auxiliary reservoir and filter located outside the main reservoir. Ozonated air bubbles are injected by a diffuser into a lift tube containing fluid from the main reservoir. The fluid flows up the lift tube and into the auxiliary reservoir due to the expansion of the ozonated air bubbles as they go up the lift tube. The fluid is caused to pass through the auxiliary reservoir and filter and back into the main reservoir as a result of the flow of ozonated air in the lift tube. A UV germicidal lamp is positioned in the path of fluid flow downstream of said diffuser. In an alternate embodiment, fluid flow to and from the main reservoir is via conduits normally used to connect the main reservoir to a conventional high pressure water pump and filter.

  • Patent number: 10349651
Abstract: A crawling insect barrier in which the combination of elements functions as a natural device to prevent ants or other crawling insects from accessing a table, cabinet, storage bin, structure, or any area wherein crawling insect infestation is undesirable. In one embodiment, a feather ring comprises a string (elastic or fixed length) to which natural feathers of various sizes and shapes are fastened, to thereby create a natural barrier or boundary that prevents crawling insects from crossing, and thus inhibiting the insects' ability to carry food, mark a path, build a nest, or infest an area. In another embodiment, a band or strap is used as the underlying surface on which the feathers are attached. If the string, band or strap is not elastic, the crawling insect barrier can be attached with adhesive or some other conventional fastener. The invention also includes a corresponding method of making the natural crawling barrier.

  • Publication number: 20140209521
Abstract: A system for treating fluid in a pool, spa, or other main fluid reservoir includes a side-filter tank located next to the main fluid reservoir. An ozone generator pumps a mixture of ozone and air into a lift tube containing fluid from the main fluid reservoir. The fluid flows through the lift tube due to the effect of ozonated air bubbles released by a diffuser at the bottom of the lift tube. Fluid is piped from the main fluid reservoir to the side-filter tank and lift tube and back into the main fluid reservoir. The fluid is caused to pass through the side-filter tank and back into the main reservoir as a result of the flow of ozonated air in the lift tube without the use of any fluid pump.

Abstract: The invention is a method for treating fluid in a main fluid reservoir, e.g., a pool, spa, or water tank, etc., using ozonated air. A fluid filter is placed in an auxiliary fluid reservoir located in or next to the main fluid reservoir. An ozone generator pumps a combination of ozone and air into the auxiliary reservoir. • Patent number: 8470170
Abstract: The invention is an apparatus and method for treating fluid in a pool, spa, or water tank, etc., using ozone and treated air. A fluid filter is placed in an auxiliary reservoir or a smaller fluid tank located in or next to the pool, spa, or main water tank. An ozone generator pumps a combination of ozone and air into the smaller fluid tank. Fluid in the smaller fluid tank passes through a filter and back into the main reservoir without the use of any fluid pump. More specifically, a vertical lift tube is placed beneath the smaller fluid tank so that the open top of the lift tube is within the smaller fluid tank. Fluid from the main reservoir is piped to the bottom of the lift tube. Ozone and air from the ozone generator is also piped into the lift tube near its bottom. • Publication number: 20100202931
Abstract: This invention relates to an ozone generator for making ozone using a UV lamp. The ozone generator includes separate first and second sealed containers preferably mounted on a common base. An air pump positioned within the first sealed container draws air into the first sealed container through an air filter. The air pump also causes this filtered air to exit the first sealed container and enter the second sealed container. A UV light source is positioned inside the second sealed container in a manner so as to cause the air from said first sealed container to be radiated by said UV light source as the air flows across the UV light source and towards an output opening in the second sealed container, to cause at least some of the air to be converted into ozone gas prior to the air exiting the second container. A cooling fan and a ballast circuit for the UV light source are preferably also contained within the first sealed container.
