Patent number: 7342468Abstract: An apparatus comprises a radio frequency filter and a dielectric material configured to alter the frequency response of the RF filter, wherein said dielectric material is located in proximity to said RF filter. The apparatus may be useful in a satellite antenna system wherein the RF filter is configured to have an initial frequency response. The dielectric material may be configured to shift the frequency response of the RF filter from the initial frequency response to a shifted frequency response. The dielectric material may be a polyimide tape. A method is also provided for reworking a non-compliant PWB, wherein the PWB is non-compliant with a standard frequency response to a given RF input signal, and wherein the PWB comprises an RF filter. The method comprises the step of adjusting the frequency response of the RF filter by adding a piece of polyimide tape in proximity to the RF filter.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2005Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignee: U.S. Monolithics, L.L.C.Inventors: Noel A Lopez, Charles E. Publication number: 20040147954Abstract: An internal nasal dilator sized for comfortable insertion within the human nostril and adapted with integral particulate filtration media is disclosed. The nasal dilator is adapted to house air filtration technology such that air drawn through the device is filtered prior to entering the lungs. Air filtration may be accomplished using particulate filter media, chemical media (such as activated carbon), centrifugal particulate separation technology, or any other suitable air filtration technology. The present invention thus provides an improved internal nasal dilator which functions to maintain clear and unobstructed nasal passages while improving the quality of breathing air by removing particulate matter prior to introduction into the lungs.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2004Publication date: July 29, 2004Inventor: Charles E. Patent number: 5927494Abstract: A carton for packaging a series of rolls of web material includes parallel, opposite side walls and angled, corner walls provided at opposite corners of the carton. The rolls are positioned within the carton such that the material of the roll adjacent each corner wall engages the corner wall. Top and bottom end flaps extend from each of the side walls, for enclosing the top and bottom ends of the carton. Cut-out retainer flaps are formed in two of the top end flaps, for engagement within an internal passage defined by the core of the roll of material therebelow to retain the rolls of material in position within the interior of the carton.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1997Date of Patent: July 27, 1999Assignee: Green Bay Packaging, Inc.Inventors: James L. Fowler, Charles E. Wood

Patent number: 5624031Abstract: A tray-type package for receiving a series of articles is constructed from a blank which enables the user to vary the size of the horizontal surface on which the articles are placed. The blank includes a bottom panel and a series of side walls which are interconnected with the bottom panel via connection structure which defines a series of fold locations, and the user selects the appropriate fold location according to the size of articles being packaged such that, when a predetermined number of articles are placed on the tray, the outer articles are in close proximity to, or engage, the tray side walls. When the tray side walls are folded at the different fold positions, the position of the adjacent side wall ends varies, and retainer structure is interposed between the side wall ends which accommodates such variation and which secures the side walls together. The retainer structure is an extension section formed on one of the side walls which overlaps the other side wall.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 1995Date of Patent: April 29, 1997Assignee: Green Bay Packaging, Inc.Inventors: James L.
