  • Patent number: 11865662
Abstract: A blade sharpener for manual use includes a base, and at least one sharpening device pivotally attached to the base. Each sharpening device has a channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. A second pivotally attached device may be sharpening device or a guide. The two devices are pivotable independently of each other thereby accommodating any curvature of a blade to be sharpened as the blade sharpener is moved along the blade. A blade sharpener for use with a powered rotary tool includes a main body having a bore for receiving the powered rotary tool, and a channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. A guide having a channel is pivotably attached to the main body to accommodate any curvature of a blade.

  • Publication number: 20230398652
Abstract: A blade sharpener for use with a powered rotary tool having a rotatable sharpening element includes a main body having a bore for receiving the powered rotary tool, where the bore extends through the main body along an axis and the main body has a first channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. The first channel is perpendicular to the rotary axis and opens into the bore to permit a blade to engage the sharpening element. The blade sharpener also includes a guide having a guide channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened where the guide is pivotally attached to the main body to accommodate any curvature of a blade to be sharpened as the blade sharpener follows along the blade.

  • Patent number: 10552928
Abstract: A method for providing automated entry to properties includes placing a lock box or an automated door lock at or near a property. The property is listed as available as an open house on an application running on a portable device. A property manager receives required renter criteria that is required to authorize an unaccompanied visit to the property. A visitor using a portable device can select to indicate a desire to enter the property. Upon the application receiving the visitor request to enter the property, communicating with a credit bureau to pull a credit score for the visitor. Upon rental criteria for the visitor meeting the required renter criteria, the application provides automated entry information to the visitor that allows the visitor to enter the property.

  • Publication number: 20100045538
Abstract: An apparatus and method for forming an electronic device (110) including an antenna (212) coupled to circuitry (216, 218) for conducting signals in the radio frequency range and a housing (120, 300, 400, 600, 700) encasing the circuitry (216, 218) and the antenna (212). The housing (120, 300, 400, 600, 700) includes a coating material (314, 604, 704) overlying a substrate (312, 602, 702), the coating material (314, 604, 704) being substantially non-conducting and including a metal having a ten percent atomic weight of the combined non-conducting material and the metal. The housing (120, 300, 400, 600, 700) minimally attenuates signals in the radio frequency range and provides a metallic appearance to reflected light in the visible range.

  • Publication number: 20090288663
Abstract: An oxygen administration apparatus comprises a source of oxygen, an oxygen administration device, a flexible oxygen-conducting tubing connectable at one end to the source of oxygen and an other end to the oxygen administration device. The connections are made through first and second firebreaks. The firebreaks and are valves that both contain a fusible stop. In the event of a fire in the vicinity of either firebreak, the resultant heat causes its stop to fuse. Thus, the supply of oxygen to the fire is stopped. The firebreaks both have connecting ends of different configuration. The first firebreak is also of different configuration from the second firebreak.

  • Patent number: 6516942
Abstract: An improved idler roller for a belt conveyor for conveying bulk materials includes a cylindrical roller shell, and a pair of cast roller heads fitted to respective opposite open ends of the roller shell. Bearing assemblies fitted within each of the roller heads mount the roller for rotation on a pair of stub shafts. Notably, the configuration of the stub shafts and bearing assemblies desirably acts to minimize deflection of the shafts, and thus misalignment of the bearing assemblies. Greater service life for the bearing assemblies, and thus the idler roller, are thus achieved, or alternatively, the rated load for the idler roller, for a given service life, is increased.
