  • Patent number: 11881112
Abstract: Recent location and control information received from “lead” vehicles that traveled over a segment of land, sea, or air is captured to inform, via aggregated data, subsequent “trailing” vehicles that travel over that same segment of land, sea, or air. The aggregated data may provide the trailing vehicles with annotated road information that identifies obstacles. In some embodiments, at least some sensor control data may be provided to the subsequent vehicles to assist those vehicles in identifying the obstacles and/or performing other tasks. Besides, obstacles, the location and control information may enable determining areas traveled by vehicles that are not included in conventional maps, as well as vehicle actions associated with particular locations, such as places where vehicles park or make other maneuvers.

  • Patent number: 11880554
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically generating an application overflow tool that is dynamically updated and arranged to provide improved access to popular or recently used applications. These systems and methods improve existing technologies by generating an overflow panel different from a task bar, such that the overflow panel provides access to most recently used applications that are not on the task bar. As such, ease of access to applications is improved to increase user efficiency. These systems also improve the way computers operate by leveraging existing GUI layouts to reduce computing resource consumption, such as memory, network latency, I/O, and the like, that would otherwise be required improve access to applications.

  • Publication number: 20240006136
Abstract: A digital signaling device provides visual, audible, and haptic indicators when the digital signaling device changes state. The digital signaling device has a same operational feel and response as a classic electro-mechanical decorator-style light switch, including maintaining switch paddle position, using attractive magnetic latching in combination with a spring contact. The switch paddle can be pressed into one of two positions, each position representing a different state of the digital signaling device. The switch paddle provides a visual indicator of the digital signaling device state in that the switch paddle is maintained in one of the two positions. The attractive magnetic latching provides both an audible and haptic indicator when the magnet pairs are engaged, which corresponds to a change of state of the digital signaling device. The spring contact provides a digital switching mechanism for changing the state of the digital signaling device.

  • Patent number: 11857768
Abstract: A filtering needle assembly for use in administering a liquid payload, including: a needle and connector portion; a filtering needle body cap; a seal plug, and a filter: The seal plug initially lacking a needle channel so that a distal end of a hollow needle must be forced through the distal end of the seal plug while the seal plug is retained by a holding tool with a hollow midline of adequate depth to receive the protruding end of the hollow needle. An attempt to reuse the filtering needle assembly with a second insertion of a hollow needle into the filtering needle assembly will not work as the distal end of the hollow needle will push the seal plug distally rather than traverse the seal plug.

  • Patent number: 11853825
Abstract: Systems/techniques that can facilitate video/animated QR codes are provided. In various aspects, a processor can identify a QR code. In various instances, the processor can decompose the QR code into a static fragment and a plurality of dynamic fragments. The static fragment can be a portion of the QR code that contains sufficient information to facilitate an online transaction, whereas the plurality of dynamic fragments can be a plurality of portions of the QR code that collectively contain sufficient information to facilitate an offline transaction. In various instances, the processor can sequentially render a plurality of frames on an electronic display, where each frame depicts the static fragment and a corresponding one of the plurality of dynamic fragments. Accordingly, a point-of-sale device can facilitate an online transaction by scanning one frame rendered by the processor, and/or can facilitate an offline transaction by scanning all frames rendered by the processor.

  • Publication number: 20230391384
Abstract: A new over lay technology for the Positive Train Control and Energy Management systems used by the railroad industry today which allows for automated train handling responses to potential on-track hazards. Various sensors, including image-capture devices, radar, and drones, are placed on or proximate to a train. These sensors are used to interface with or override the Positive Train Control and Energy Management systems where those systems activate specific actions such as slowing or stopping a train but hazardous conditions on the track may dictate an alternative response.

  • Patent number: 11829295
Abstract: Techniques are described in which a system having multiple processing units processes a series of work units in a processing pipeline, where some or all of the work units access or manipulate data stored in non-coherent memory. In one example, this disclosure describes a method that includes identifying, prior to completing processing of a first work unit with a processing unit of a processor having multiple processing units, a second work unit that is expected to be processed by the processing unit after the first work unit. The method also includes processing the first work unit, and prefetching, from non-coherent memory, data associated with the second work unit into a second cache segment of the buffer cache, wherein prefetching the data associated with the second work unit occurs concurrently with at least a portion of the processing of the first work unit by the processing unit.
