  • Patent number: 11001421
Abstract: A cup with hole apparatus and method comprising the parts and the steps to create a beverage cup that is inexpensive to purchase, ship, and use within a standard restaurant. One of these parts is a container that, when not assembled with other parts, cannot contain liquid due to multiple openings of different sizes. At least one of these openings is relatively smaller than the rest, and is only suitable to be used for drinking purposes. The other relatively larger openings can be used for filling purposes. A single-use beverage cup is created when: 1. A removable part is used to plug the relatively smaller opening; 2. The resulting container is filled via one of the relatively larger openings; 3. Once filled, permanent parts are used to plug all of the unplugged openings; 4. A drinker dislodges the removable part to drink from the smaller opening; and 5. Refilling the cup via the unplugged smaller opening is difficult.

  • Patent number: 9068824
Abstract: An endoscope having two entry lenses, which are arranged spaced from each other and the fields of view of which overlap, and having guiding devices. The entry lenses are spaced so far apart from each other that the outer edges thereof protrude beyond the cross-sectional area of the guiding devices, and a lens displacing the axis beam is inserted between one entry lens and the guiding devices. A method for the use of the endoscope.

  • Publication number: 20130116574
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for ascertaining spatial coordinates in which at least two markers are put on a living being and at least two cameras in a stereo arrangement are used to ascertain the spatial coordinates of the markers, wherein the spatial coordinates of the markers are compared with a reference and the difference is calculated and output. The invention also relates to quantitative length and angle measurements using optical, stereometric measurement systems for medical applications.

  • Patent number: 8343014
Abstract: A reversible toe manipulation device comprising a separator for inserting between two toes of the human foot, the separator including a duality of shaped openings, each shaped opening adapted for receiving at least one toe and the shaped openings being from 0.25 to 2.0? in depth, at least one of the shaped openings fully attaching around one or more toes so that the separator is attached to the feet and toes, the separator further comprising an adjustable stretch width section that can be altered using a removable stretch width section to the width desired by the wearer, said adjustable stretch width section interposed between the shaped openings, the separator spreading the toes between 0.25 to 2.0? in width, such that when the toes are inserted into the shaped openings the toes are contactless.

  • Patent number: 8328731
Abstract: The method for reconstructing the three-dimensional shape of the surface (14) of at least a portion of an ear canal (18) and/or of a concha comprises—for each of a multitude of points (12) on said surface (14)—the step of using a chromatic coded distance measurement technique for determining a distance value (40) representative of a distance to said point (12); and further comprises the step of reconstructing said three-dimensional shape based on said multitude of distance values (40).

  • Patent number: 8264696
Abstract: Disclosed is a measuring instrument for determining geometric properties of a profiled element. Said measuring instrument comprises:—a device that generates at least one first light beam (7) and a second light beam (8), the direction of radiation of the first light beam being different from the direction of radiation of the second light beam;—a retro-reflecting surface (3) which is arranged in such a way relative to the light source that at least some of both light beams is incident on the retro-reflecting surface; and—a recording device (14) which can determine, across the transversal extension thereof, the light intensity distribution of at least some of the reflected light beam of the first light beam and at least some of the reflected light beam of the second light beam, the first light beam being reflected by the retro-reflecting surface and the second light beam being reflected by the/a retro-reflecting surface.
