  • Publication number: 20070151057
Abstract: A self-wringing mop has a handle and a cleaning mop head with a plurality of cleaning mop head strands of fibrous, cotton, sponge-plastic, or similarly absorbent material. The mop head strands are attached at their lower ends to a lower mop head support and at their upper ends to an upper mop head support which is attached to a rotatable outer sleeve which circumscribes the handle. An inner sleeve is secured to the handle and circumscribes the outer sleeve. It has planetary gears which mesh with a gear ring located on an internal surface of the outer sleeve. A hilt member, with gearing which meshes with the planetary gears, is rotatably mounted on the handle. Rotation of the hilt member by the user rotates the gearing of the system and the outer sleeve, creating a 2:1 mechanical advantage in ultimately rotating the mop head strands to wring them of moisture.

  • Publication number: 20070151059
Abstract: A mop connection system employs a mop head support member permanently attached at one end to the cleaning elements of a mop head. Dual arm members extend from the other end of the support member. The arm members are configured to be inserted into dual channels at the lower end of the mop handle. A collar, circumscribing and rotatable around the handle, is positioned over the channel inserted arm members, such that tabs located near the ends of the arm members enter the vertical legs of L-shaped slotted openings cut-out from the collar. The collar is then rotated, which positions the tabs within the horizontal legs of the slotted openings, thus securely connecting the mop head support member and hence the entire mop head in place on the handle. The mop head is removed from the handle by simply rotating the collar in the opposite direction and then withdrawing the mop head from the handle.

  • Publication number: 20070124880
Abstract: A handheld cleaning implement of unitary body construction has a handle section which is connected to an angled cleaning head support section to which the cleaning head, having an element with an abrasive surface like a brush, or a sponge, or other common cleaning head, is connected. The handled section and cleaning head section intersect at an obtuse angle to one another, in order to more efficiently and ergonomically direct manual cleaning forces through the implement to the cleaning head. A ring-like bridge support member is positioned at the intersection of the handle and cleaning head sections. This bridge support member permits the insertion of one or two fingers of the user to thus assist in applying concentrated manual force through the implement to the cleaning head.

  • Publication number: 20070125788
Abstract: A trash receptacle extension is configured to be secured to the bottom surface of a standard trash receiving receptacle having side walls and a bottom wall. The extension has multiple side walls which, when secured to the receptacle, extend past the bottom wall of the receptacle. The side walls of the extension are secured to the bottom surface of the bottom wall of the receptacle to form a partially enclosed space below the bottom wall of the container. The space beneath the bottom wall permits the insertion of the lower section of a cleaning implement within the space. A standard trash receptacle is thus easily converted to form a receptacle which can store a cleaning implement and provide a compact unit which allows for ready access of cleaning implements at one location, a unit which can easily and conveniently be transported for use to any given location for cleaning and sweeping.

  • Publication number: 20070124889
Abstract: A trash receptacle cleaning product has a trash receiving receptacle with side walls and a bottom wall. Side walls of the container extend past the bottom wall, forming a base for the container and a partially enclosed space below the bottom wall of the container. The front wall of the container has a cut-out or indented section configured to accept and store the handle of a cleaning implement, such as a lobby dustpan and broom unit. The space beneath the bottom wall permits the insertion of the lower part of the cleaning implement within the space. The result is a compact, self-contained trash cleaning product which can easily and conveniently be transported for use to any given location for cleaning and sweeping.

  • Publication number: 20070013187
Abstract: A drain fitting has a unitary body with a lower section and an upper section upstanding from the lower section. The lower section encompasses a space and is open to the drain line to be cleaned. The upper section has a side wall and an inner wall which forms a channel. The inner wall encompasses a through passage which is open to the space encompassed within the lower section. A line of a given diameter can thus be received and maintained around the side walls. Another line of different diameter can be received and maintained within the channel and lines of other different diameters can be maintained within the through passage.

  • Patent number: 6709055
Abstract: A weather-proof covering of flexible material which is form fitted for use with a variety of outdoor furniture. A flexible harness with strap members is secured to the covering permanently by a sewed connection or removably by snaps, Velcro™, or similar devices. The harness is positioned and secured to the furniture by the members and tie lines which emanate from the harness and are tied to the furniture. This system attachment allows the cover to be used on furniture of varying sizes and configurations. The cover may also be attached to the furniture directly by snap connections. A bar with hooked ends is positioned through the bottom of the covering. It acts as a counterweight to keep the covering taut when it is deployed and covers the furniture. The bar also assists in storage of the covering directly on the furniture when the covering is not in use.
