  • Patent number: 9931017
Abstract: An apparatus and method for washing and drying objects includes a rotating washing fluid sprayer having several nozzles to direct washing fluid, e.g., water, at an object being washed in a chamber. A drying fluid is directed at the object in the chamber to dry the object. The drying fluid, e.g., air, is directed in a spiral pattern against the object to urge washing liquid away from the object to dry the object and to push the drying liquid away from edges of the object. The air may be directed at the object simultaneously with the water to increase the energy with which the water impinges on the object and to urge dirt from the object being washed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 16, 2011
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018

  • Patent number: 5944799
Abstract: A state machine bus controller for interfacing the CPU of a micro-computer based system with memory and I/O device is described. The controller, while capable of interfacing with a bus which is synchronous in nature, can maintain synchronous handshake with more than one type of microprocessor while providing function and timing parameters to satisfy requirements of an asynchronous bus and more than one type of device which reside on the bus.

  • Patent number: 5749052
Abstract: A cellular telephone includes a receiver for receiving cellular communications and a transmitter for transmitting cellular communications. A controller is coupled to the receiver and the transmitter and controls the receiver and the transmitter based on the command signals. The controller includes a first memory for storing call rate information indicative of rates charged for the cellular communications. A timer provides a timer signal indicative of a time during which the cellular communications take place. The controller determines the amount of currency to be charged for the cellular communications based on the call rate information and the timer signal. An administrator station is provided for loading a threshold amount of currency into the cellular telephone. The entire system can be tracked and managed, and system wide statistics are available to the system operator.

  • Patent number: 4529281
Abstract: A microfiche reader transport system permitting the automatic and selective accessing of one of a plurality of microfilm frames mounted on a microfiche card. The transport system is independently actuable in the X and Y directions via stepper motor means which are, in turn, selectively controlled via an operator keyboard and a programmable microprocessor controller responsive thereto. The transport system further has the capability of accommodating microfiche cards of various frame formats, and includes means for adaptively adjusting to different magnification ratios of the reader optics and for audibly prompting and verifying operator selections and error conditions.
