  • Publication number: 20230233299
Abstract: In a method and system for performing a treatment on a tooth, ultrasonic energy is generated and transmitted by an ultrasonic instrument to a fluid located in the interior of the tooth. The amplitude and frequency of the ultrasonic energy causes inertial cavitation of gas vesicles located in bacteria present in the fluid to assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and/or delivering a payload to the fluid and interior of the tooth but is below the safety limit for ultrasonic imaging.

  • Patent number: 10052173
Abstract: An endodontic file, or a series of endodontic files, and an endodontic obturator or series of obturators, and methods of manufacturing same. Regarding the endodontic files, they may include a file body extending from a tip region to a shank region, at least one helical flute extending from the tip region towards the shank region. Each helical flute may have an up-sharp cutting edge without a land. For one such set of endodontic files, there is included at least a first and a second file, each one of the files having a tip and a shank, the first file having a tip size that is substantially the same as a tip size of the second file, wherein the first file has a different taper configuration relative to the taper configuration of the second file.

  • Publication number: 20130056908
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an endodontic obturation device used in filling root canals includes injecting an endodontic filler material into a mold having a single cavity or a plurality of spaced apart cavities to apply the endodontic filler material to a filler carrier. After the endodontic filler material has set, the endodontic obturation device having the endodontic filler material adhered to the filler carrier is then removed from the mold.
