  • Patent number: 4607462
Abstract: A cooling and lubricating device for sharpening feed chopping knives. The device sharpening the knives mounted on a rotating cutter head disposed inside a chopper box. The knives used for cutting crops, forage, ensilage and the like. The device is lowered on top of feed chopping knives so that the knives are continuously sharpened during the cutting operation. Further the device may be pivoted above the chopping box when the knives have been sharpened to prevent the sharpening stone from being exposed to potential breakage from foreign material received inside the chopping box.

  • Patent number: 4603513
Abstract: A motor driven feed sharpener for raising and lowering a sharpening stone on a feed chopper. When the sharpening stone is lowered a cover plate opens and the sharpening stone engages the top of rotating feed chopping knives and sharpens the feed chopping knives as they are rotated thereby. When the sharpening stone is raised into the feed sharpener, a cover plate is automatically moved to close the opening between the sharpening stone and the knives to contain the chopped material within the feed chopping knife cylinder and to protect the sharpening stone from abrasion during normal feed chopping.

  • Patent number: 4500816
Abstract: An active convergence correction apparatus for a full color cathode ray tube display of the delta gun shadow mask type wherein the horizontal and vertical parabolic waveshape compensation signals are generated by squaring circuits responsive to the horizontal and vertical deflection signals and wherein zero crossing detectors also responsive to the horizontal and vertical deflection signals, which effectively divide the viewing screen into rectangular coordinates, control switches which split each of the horizontal and vertical parabolic waveshape signals in half, whereby the relative amplitudes of each half can be independently controlled to achieve precise convergence in all sectors of the screen.

  • Patent number: 4482098
Abstract: An improved feed chopping knife for mounting on a rotating feed chopping cutter head and engaging a cutter bar. The knife having a groove cut therein and along the length of the front of the knife thereby reducing the surface area of a beveled cutting edge and causing less drag when the knife engages the cutting bar. Also, the knife provides the feature of discharging the cut feed away from the cutter head thereby eliminating feed clogging the interior of the cutter head.

  • Patent number: 4246729
Abstract: An improved sharpener for self-sharpening feed chopping knives used in cutting crops, forage, ensilage and the like. The sharpener may be lowered on top of the chopping knives so that the knives are continuously sharpened during the cutting operation. The stone may be pivoted out of the chopping box when the knives have been sharpened to prevent a sharpening stone mounted on the sharpener from being exposed to potential breakage from foreign material received inside a chopper box containing the knives mounted on a rotating cutter head.
