  • Publication number: 20100129154
Abstract: An automatic gated-pipe actuator for controlling flow of an irrigation material to an agricultural region through an irrigation gate in a gated-irrigation pipe. The automatic gated-pipe actuator includes a gate valve for coupling to the gated-irrigation pipe, a gate actuator removably coupled to the gate valve and for actuating the gate valve and an automatic gated pipe gate control unit for controlling actuation of the gate valve. The control unit has a processor unit communicatively coupled to the gate actuator. Upon instruction from the gate control unit, the gate actuator will actuate and alter the disposition of the gate valve thereby altering the flow of irrigation material through the irrigation gate and to a portion of the agricultural region adjacent the irrigation gate.

  • Patent number: 7020620
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of tracking a vehicle during a vehicle-related multi-step process. A vehicle identifier is received for uniquely identifying a vehicle. A daily time target for each day of the repair process is preselected. A delay is then identified during a repair step if the time allocated to the vehicle is less than the preselected daily time target. A length of time for the delay is stored. Also, a reason for a delay is determined for why the vehicle was delayed during at least one of the multi-step processes. A proficiency of the repair process can then be reported such that a repair facility can assess areas of improvement.

  • Publication number: 20050204940
Abstract: A multipart printing press cylinder. A pair of hubs have an inner bore for mounting on a press shaft. Each hub is made in two parts which may be positioned about the press shaft and attached to each other by, e.g. screws. Each hub has a profile section. A pair of partial shells each include a pair of cylinder frames having a profile matching a hub profile. Manually releasable latches are provided for holding each partial shell on the hubs when the partial shell profiles are mated with the hub profiles. The outer perimeter of each cylinder frame has a radius and contour defining the outer size and shape of a printing press cylinder. A surface material, e.g. sheet aluminum, is formed to fit the frame perimeters and are preferably attached under tension to the frames.

  • Publication number: 20040162754
Abstract: A method of determining an efficiency of a repair process. The method includes the step of creating a vehicle identifier for the vehicle. The identified vehicle is examined to locate areas in need of repair. An extent of a repair is then estimated. Further, a total labor hours is estimated to perform the repair process. A vehicle production start period is determined and a vehicle production finish period is determined. A total shop production hours based upon when the repair shop opened and closed for each day between the vehicle production start period and the vehicle production finish period is simultaneously determined. A production process efficiency is then calculated for the completed repair process by dividing the total shop production hours by the estimated total labor hours, which reveals a true efficiency of the repair process by calculating the production process efficiency in terms of hours.
