  • Patent number: 7654411
Abstract: A container includes a receptacle, a lid, and a lid lock. The lid is arranged to move between an opened position uncovering an opening formed in the receptacle and a closed position covering the opening. The lid lock is used to lock the lid in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7588155
Abstract: A beverage container closure includes a cap and a monolithic cap liner having concentric first and second seal rings coupled to the cap. The concentric first and second seal rings are adapted to mate with an annular rim provided on the neck of a beverage container and formed to include an open mouth to allow liquids to flow through the neck into and out of the beverage container. At least one of the seal rings is splayed relative to the annular rim during installation of the cap on the container neck to form a seal between the cap and the beverage container.

  • Patent number: 6321937
Abstract: An aerosol dispensing system includes an aerosol can and a wiper dispenser removably attached to the can. A cup containing absorbent material, such as a roll of toweletes, is snap fit to the bottom of the can. The cup may be removed to dispense wipers and replaced on the can for storage. The wiper dispenser may be refilled with a replacement roll of towelettes.

  • Patent number: 5537814
Abstract: An improved high pressure gas generator rotor for a gas turbine engine is disclosed in which a tie rod of unitary construction provides an axial compressive load across a plurality of non-bolted compressor and turbine components arranged in rotational driving arrangement, for example, by face splines and rabbets. An interim compressive load path solely through the compressor rotor portion is automatically provided upon relaxation of the operational compressive load in the rotor to maintain mechanical integrity of the compressor and facilitate assembly and maintenance activity. An anti-rotated midspan locknut on the tie rod obviates the need for additional, special tooling configured to clamp the compressor components during disassembly of the turbine.

  • Patent number: 5313780
Abstract: A free-floating damper system is provided wherein a damper housing is configured to receive a damper arm for free-floating movement in the x/y plane while restricting similar movement in the z plane. The damper arm is specially configured with first and second wear bushings positioned in a spring biased support to insure the frictional generation of coulomb dampening forces between the damper arm bushings and the damper housing. The damper can be fixedly mounted to a portion of a gas turbine engine such as the turbine frame and a portion of the damper arm can be attached through a mounting bracket to an accessory tube of the engine to dissipate vibrational forces which otherwise can damage the accessory tube.

  • Patent number: 5080047
Abstract: A steam system is disclosed having a steam boiler (14) designed to produce an adjustable supply of boiler steam and a steam accumulator (12) designed to supply all of the steam to steam load (66) as opposed to functioning as an auxiliary source to boiler (14). Steam accumulator (12) is a pressure vessel designed to function as a wet steam accumulator and sized to provide large quantities of steam in short bursts for a predetermined period of time to a sustained cyclic steam load (66) for a period of time sufficient to compensate for the time delays necessary to adjust the boiler steam produciton rate to equal changes in the average of the cyclic demand load.

  • Patent number: 4419050
Abstract: A variable pitch propeller is controlled by a hydraulic mechanism responsive to forces urging an unsymmetrically mounted propeller towards its maximum pitch. Spring bias means maintains the propeller at minimum pitch under conditions of rest. The propeller is prevented from increasing its pitch by the pressure produced on a closed hydraulic chamber until it reaches a predetermined r.p.m., when a centrifugal valve opens a first port and relieves the pressure in the cylinder and allows the propeller to increase in pitch. The increase in pitch opens a second port communicating with the pressure chamber, but that channel remains closed by a second valve that is normally closed but opens in response to a reduction in the throttle setting. The reduction in throttle setting closes the centrifugal valve so that the only channel from the pressure chamber is through the second port.
