Abstract: A novel on-line method and system for public participation in, for example, space burials is provided. Methods of customized user participation in a memorial service for a space burial, include, for example, providing a web site or other graphical user interface for users to access via the Internet or via another computer network, displaying a webcast via the web site of a memorial service on behalf of at least one deceased individual having remains included in a space burial mission, and having users supplement the webcast with customized content and interact remotely from remote computers connected to the computer network.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a space craft containing a sail craft capable of travel within and beyond the solar system. Propulsion for the sail craft is provided by a solar sail that reflects the light from the Sun to generate thrust. A carrier craft is also provided in the space craft to deploy and launch the sail craft. The space craft and missions involving the space craft include payloads and commercial advertising.

Abstract: A space-based mausoleum system including a cabinet-like structure, a plurality of compartments disposed within the cabinet-like structure, and a plurality of containers disposed within the plurality of compartments, wherein the plurality of containers are operable for housing the remains of a plurality of deceased individuals. The cabinet-like structure can be fixedly or removably attached to a spacecraft, orbited around the Earth, or located upon the surface of a space-based body.

Abstract: A novel method and system for public participation in space missions is provided. The method preferably includes creating an interactive web site for public input of information to be contained on the space mission and/or for public viewing on online broadcasting of the space mission. Preferably, the space mission includes a section within a spacecraft for storing information and/or material (e.g., body material containing genetic information, such as hair, skin or the like) away from the earth along with the spacecraft. The present invention provides significant advantages over existing methods related to space missions and significantly enhances the development of space missions and technology.

Abstract: A novel method for advertising in space missions is provided. The method includes providing a spacecraft with an advertisement location on an external portion of the spacecraft (e.g., on a surface of a solar sail), creating an advertisement of an entity that sells goods or services to the general public, and placing the advertisement of the entity on the advertisement location. The present invention provides significant advantages over existing methods of advertising in relation to space missions, increasing revenues generated therein and enhancing development of space missions and technology.

Abstract: A novel method for generating revenues in space missions is provided. The method includes: creating an advertisement related to a creative audiovisual work; receiving payment for the display or presentation of the advertisement in conjunction with the space mission; and displaying or presenting the advertisement in conjunction with the space mission. Preferably, the audiovisual work is selected from one or more of a movie or motion picture, a television show or program, a film, a video, or a webcast. The present invention provides significant advantages over existing methods of generating revenues in relation to space missions and significantly enhances the development of space missions and technology.
