    Abstract: An imaging device configured to convert a first electromagnetic emission or spectrum to a second electromagnetic emission or spectrum is provided. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, the imaging device comprises an electromagnetic spectrum detector configured from a nanomaterial and operable to receive the first electromagnetic emission or spectrum and generate a voltage based at least in part on the received first electromagnetic emission or spectrum. The imaging device further comprises a capacitor, configured from a nanomaterial and operable to receive the generated voltage from the detector, store the voltage or charge for a brief period of time, and then release the stored voltage or charge.
