  • Patent number: 4934948
Abstract: A circuit breaker terminal strip has an offset spade terminal end segment and a conventional lug terminal segment formed integrally so that one or the other or both types of wire connectors can be used with a single terminal. The lug receiving segment has a threaded opening to receive a screw that holds the lug and its wire in alignment with the terminal. The spade segment is integrally connected to the lug receiving segment and configured to receive a quick connector so that the wire on the latter does not interfere with the wire with the lug.

  • Patent number: 4623861
Abstract: A split case circuit breaker is fitted with a bracket assembly which defines a rectangular boss to cover the smaller circuit breaker boss on the front face of the breaker housing. An actuator link operates the otherwise conventional breaker mechanism inside the housing, and has a free end portion coupled to a rocker pivotably provided in a rectangular recess defined for it in the rectangular boss of the bracket assembly.

  • Patent number: 4454565
Abstract: A circuit breaker and mating adapter plate combine to fit a panel opening intended to receive larger breakers. The adapter plate has one resilient and one rigid leg, each with inturned lips so that the adapter can be clipped onto the face of the breaker. One mounting screw utilizes a conventional threaded opening in the breaker, the other attaches to the adapter only.

  • Patent number: 4347488
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for interconnecting a set of two or more circuit breakers such that tripping of one will cause concurrent tripping of the others. A coupler adapted to be placed in a recess defined by the abutting side walls of two adjacent breakers is engageable with trip members in both of the associated breakers and provides operative interconnection between the two breakers. Only one of the breakers of the set need be provided with an operating handle which can be used to turn all of the breakers "on" and "off" in unison.

  • Patent number: 4023127
Abstract: A circuit breaker with contacts which are not engageable when the electrical sensing unit thereof is energized above a predetermined level (at which the contacts would be tripped open if closed) even though the handle of the linkage mechanism of the circuit breaker is moved to the contacts closed (or contacts engaged) position.
