Abstract: Described herein is a soda magcite composition, methods of manufacture of soda magcite compositions and use of soda magcite for carbon dioxide sequestration. The soda magcite composition comprises a mixture of magnesium hydroxide, metal hydroxide and water to create a composition that is highly effective at sequestering carbon dioxide.

Abstract: Methods of processing magnesium silicate materials are described to produce a number of products including magnesium hydroxide. Related methods of use of processed magnesium silicate and other reaction products are described for energy production, cement manufacture and carbon sequestration. In one embodiment the method comprises subjecting a magnesium silicate source to an acid digestion; increasing the digested liquid pH to produce a magnesium salt solution; subjecting the magnesium salt solution to electrolysis; and recovering magnesium hydroxide produced from electrolysis. By-products such as silica, iron oxy(oxides) and others are also described along with further reaction products such as magnesium oxide and magnesium carbonate.

Abstract: A concrete pulverizer adapted for mounting on an arm of an excavator including a lower jaw having a first pivot pin mechanism and a crushing surface. The crushing surface on this jaw is formed with concrete waste apertures. An upper jaw has a rear end section connectible to an end of the arm and has crushing teeth mounted on a lower side. This jaw is pivotably connected to the lower jaw by the pivot pin mechanism. The upper jaw is pivotably connected to a hydraulic cylinder actuator on the arm and can be pivoted between an upper position and a crushing closed position. There is a power mechanism for pivoting the lower jaw between a horizontal scooping position and a dumping position and this mechanism can hold the lower jaw in a crushing position while the upper jaw is being pivoted by the hydraulic cylinder actuator.

A fluid actuated holding mechanism is provided to secure the wedge members in the channels, this mechanism including a holder pivotably mounted on the frame and a fluid actuator connected to the holder at one end and to the frame at an opposite end. The coupler device includes a locking pin mechanism for locking the wedge members in the channels, this mechanism including at least one locking pin movably mounted in the frame for movement between a locked position and an unlocked position and, optionally, a linear fluid actuator mounted on the frame and having a hydraulic cylinder.

Abstract: Dump trailer that hitches to a tow vehicle and easily tilts to a dump position when the tow vehicle is backed up toward the dump trailer. The dump trailer has a tow bar assembly that is pivotably mounted on the front end of the trailer and pushes the body of the trailer to a tilted position when the tow vehicle backs up. The tow bar assembly includes an auxiliary wheel, allowing the trailer to be maintained in its horizontal position when not hitched to a tow vehicle. Also included is a work tray that is mounted on the handlebar of a small lawn trailer. An elevation sub-structure is also provided for larger utility trailers, that raises the trailer body so that the dump trailer can be brought to a 45-degree tilt angle for optimal dumping.

Abstract: An adjustable attachment for a backhoe comprises a single tooth pivotally connected to a frame, the tooth being capable of taking a plurality of angularly spaced apart positions on the frame. Tensioning means hold the tooth in a desired position, but also allow the position of the tooth to be changed by the backhoe operator by using the backhoe controls without having to leave the controls.
