  • Patent number: 5341982
Abstract: A file folder having a tab capable of rotation is disclosed for displaying file identification and content information dependent upon the orientation of the file during storage. In the preferred embodiment, a rectilinear file having major and minor edges is utilized. The rotatable tab is placed at the corner remote from the major and minor edges on which the file is designed to rest. Dependent upon file storage, rotation of the tab occurs to display file identification and content information most conveniently. Provision is made to notch the file side to which the rotating tab is attached to positively lock the rotating tab in the desired orientation with respect to the file.

  • Patent number: 5147110
Abstract: The invention is a removable, lightweight and durable headrest assembly which can be affixed to a wide range of vehicle seats. The removable headrest assembly includes a sheet of fabric material connected at its upper end to a flexible housing for receiving a cushion and forming a headrest. When the headrest assembly is installed, the flexible tail of the sheet extends along the surface of a seatback and is inserted through the gap formed between a seatback and seat bottom portion and has means to secure it around a blocking roll which is used to anchor the headrest into position. Different sized blocking rolls can be used for front seats and back seats in vehicles as necessary. Alternative embodiments of the invention include lumbar pads and/or cushioned seatback capes to enhance comfort and safety.

  • Patent number: 5112294
Abstract: Medical patients who suffer from claustrophobia or other forms of fear or anxiety which make it difficult or impossible for them to undergo chamber-type analyses such as magnetic resonance imaging and CAT scanning, are prepared for such procedures by placing a readily removable shell over the patient's head and playing a recording with the shell in place. The interior of the shell approximates the visual appearance of the inside of the actual chamber which the patient will be subjected to during the medical procedure, and the recording contains the sounds the patient would be expected to encounter during the actual analysis. The shell and recording are used by the patient at will, and in the privacy of his or her own home, and this is done a sufficient number of times and for a sufficient duration to accustom the patient to the environment, all in preparation for the actual medical procedure.
