  • Publication number: 20240146063
Abstract: A power distribution unit (PDU) of a disclosed embodiment comprises a configurable PDU architecture providing phase redundancy. The configurable PDU architecture comprises a switch bank having power inputs Phase A, Phase B, Phase C, and Neutral and providing respective phase outputs to respective connected loads. A switching control receives sense inputs and provides configuration controls to the switch bank. The switch bank switches in an alternate phase input when a primary phase fails providing phase redundancy and continued reliable operations with the loss of a single input phase. The PDU of one or more disclosed embodiments enables universal input power configurations including Single phase, Delta, and Wye configurations.

  • Patent number: 11936236
Abstract: Selective discharging of a rechargeable battery pack across a power supply system load is provided, which includes determining occurrence of a condition within the power supply system, the power supply system including a power supply circuit and a backup energy source. The power supply circuit receives main input power, and the backup energy source is operatively coupled to the power supply circuit to supply backup power to the system load when main power input to the power supply circuit is unavailable. Based on determining occurrence of the condition within the power supply system, a controller actively discharges a rechargeable battery pack of the backup energy source. The actively discharging includes controlling the power supply circuit to force discharging of power from the rechargeable battery pack to the power supply system load by suspending the main input power within the system from powering the system load.

  • Patent number: 11500638
Abstract: A method and system for compressing and decompressing data is disclosed. A compression command may initiate the prefetching of first data, which may be stored in a first buffer. Multiple words of the first data may be read from the first buffer and used to generate a plurality of compressed packets, each of which includes a command specifying a type of packet. The compressed packets may be combined into a group and multiple groups may be combined and stored in a second buffer. A decompression command may initiate the prefetching of second data, which is stored in the first buffer. A portion of the second data may be read from the first buffer and used to generate a group of compressed packets. Multiple output words may be generated dependent upon the group of compressed packets.

  • Patent number: 9184135
Abstract: A system for backside metallization and reinforcement of glass substrates to provide support and protection during handling and processing of the glass substrates. A sacrificial substrate is removeably attached to a glass substrate comprising through-holes, backside metallized pads, and under-bump metallization (UBM) pads enclosing the backside metallized pads. The sacrificial substrate comprises a sacrificial layer, an opaque film, and an adhesive. The sacrificial substrate protects the backside metallized pads and UBM pads, and reinforces the glass substrate.

  • Patent number: 9184064
Abstract: A method for backside metallization and reinforcement of glass substrates to provide support and protection during handling and processing of the glass substrates. Through-holes are created in a glass substrate and filled with a conductive type material. Backside metallized pads are applied to the glass substrate and enclosed with an under-bump metallization (UBM) pad. A sacrificial substrate is removeably attached to the glass substrate. The sacrificial substrate comprises a sacrificial layer, an opaque film, and an adhesive. The sacrificial substrate protects the backside metallized pads and under-bump metallization (UBM) pads, and reinforces the glass substrate.

  • Publication number: 20140248951
Abstract: In a preferred embodiment of the present invention there is provided games and methods which combine the features and benefits of fantasy gaming with survivor pool gaming. A preferred embodiment employs a user fantasy game roster comprising a plurality of real-world players from a professional sports league, selected from various available positions. Players may be selected by a user regardless of whether that same player was selected by another user. After players are successfully selected, a user is awarded points based on game events. Once a user selects a real-world player for a given game period, that player may not be selected again by that user for a restricted period of time, typically the remainder of the season. At the conclusion of each game period, the lowest tier of users is eliminated. The process is repeated until the final game period when a winner is selected.

  • Patent number: 5809875
Abstract: Apparatus for crushing scrap vehicle wheels includes a frame constructed from three radially disposed rectangular tube beams each mounting a hydraulic cylinder and crushing head which converge and operate radially to deform a scrap wheel supported at the center of the frame in order to separate the steel rim of the wheel from the surrounding tire casing. Each crushing head is supported against upward deflection by an interlocking slide connection including a slide carriage fixed to each head and slideable along the beam and stationary hold down brackets mounted on the opposite side of each beam and vertically adjustable for controlling the hold down pressure exerted on the carriages.
