  • Patent number: 9171337
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for providing, using a processor of a computer, at least a portion of text that includes a link for use by a website. A plurality of posts associated with an online social network is monitored using the processor of the computer to determine whether the link is present in at least one post of the plurality of posts. A first user of the online social network that has the link included in the at least one post is identified using the processor of the computer, where the at least one post of the first user identifies a second user of the online social network. Information associated with the first user is recorded in a data store using the processor of the computer in response to identifying that the first user has the link posted in the at least one post.

  • Patent number: 6481515
Abstract: One aspect of the invention is directed to an autonomous mobile surface treating apparatus having a chassis, a drive mechanism mounted to the said chassis by a suspension, and a substantially rigid shell movably mounted to the chassis. The suspension includes a resilient member interposed between the drive mechanism and the chassis so that when the shell is pushed toward the supporting surface with a predetermined force the resilient member compresses to permit the drive mechanism to move and the shell and/or the chassis to contact the supporting surface. A second aspect of the invention is directed to the movable support of shell relative to the chassis. The shell is supported by a plurality of elongated elastic supports received within plurality of elongated openings in the chassis. Preferably, a passive portion of a collision detection sensor is attached to a central portion of the shell.

  • Patent number: 5420027
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and compositions for effecting bacterial expression of eukaryotic cytochrome P450 enzymes and fusion proteins comprising a eukaryotic P450 domain fused to a reductase enzyme domain in a biologically active form. Certain embodiments involve the expression of eukaryotic cytochrome P450.sub.17.alpha. -hydroxylase which is expressed in large amounts in an E. coli host in a biologically active form without the need for coexpression or admixture of a cytochrome P450 reductase. Methods and compositions are also disclosed for the construction of cytochrome P450 enzyme hybrids or fusion proteins, incorporating the N-terminal 9 amino acids from bovine 17.alpha.-hydroxylase, which will enable many eukaryotic cytochrome P450 enzymes or fusion proteins to be expressed in bacteria.

  • Patent number: 5383496
Abstract: A pipe coupling wherein the axial split is offset from the location wherein the coupling is closed. The offset increases the resistance of the pipe coupling to lifting forces exerted by pressurized fluid in pipes or pipelines. In addition, an extension member and a reinforcing member on the opposite sides of the closure device increase the section modulus of the pipe coupling and further increase the resistance of the pipe coupling to lifting forces.
