    Abstract: Furnace structures having smoke and gas return are disclosed. The structures have a closed circuit combustion gas loop and a closed circuit liquid heat transfer loop. The two loops are circulated countercurrent to one another so that maximum heat transfer efficiency is achieved and exhaust emissions are reduced to a minimum.
