  • Patent number: 4294082
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved blower system particularly useful for vehicles wherein the one or more fans, squirrel cage blowers or the like are driven by a hydraulic motor which is powered directly from the hydraulic system of the vehicle. Thus, the blower system of the present invention may draw on such hydraulic power without presenting any substantial drain on the hydraulic system or on the vehicle engine. For equal physical size motors, the hydraulic motor typically has an increased output capacity over conventional DC electric motors previously employed in such blower systems. Moreover, the hydraulic motor is continuously lubricated by hydraulic fluid flowing therethrough so that there is minimal wearing of the parts thereof with the end result that the life expectancy will ordinarily equal or exceed that normally expected for a typical vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4282671
Abstract: An improved means of attaching a fore stock to a break action firearm provides for convenient adjustment to compensate for dimensional variations caused by wear, or occuring during manufacture of the various firearm components, and allows the user to adjust the tightness of the action. The stock is screwed to a wedge member riding on a cammed lug carried by the firearm barrel, such that tightening of the screw causes the stock to be cammed against the receiver hinge.

  • Patent number: 4174832
Abstract: An exercise device has a cord contained in a housing with a handle on the cord to pull it out of the housing. Resistance is developed by sliding friction between the cord and the housing and between the cord and a spool in the housing. The device has independent adjustment for controlling the friction between the cord and the housing and the spool friction. A recoil wheel retracts the cord.
